Deaf Culture: History Through Deaf Eyes

I have an idea that was come up last night when I received an e-mail back from a woman who works for Gallaudet University. Last week on Wednesday, the TV program called, "Through Deaf Eyes" on PBS but that network on the channel, I figured and think, screwed up the schedule. It was not in there. I was disappointed. This program was supposed to be discussing 200 years of deaf life in America. So, I e-mailed to inform NAD (National Association of the Deaf) about this special program that was not on PBS channel when I discovered it that night. I might be buying DVD one day. Hopefully. When I went to an online of Barnes & Noble, a big bookstore company, if it have "Through Deaf Eyes", few minutes ago. Yes, it have one but it will be released on May 22, 2007. Yay! Also, Barnes & Noble have a book about it that will be published next month. I might be going to Barnes & Noble in Daytona Beach for buying it next month and DVD in May. Some of u bloggers don't know anything about the history of deaf culture. I have info about the website of "Through Deaf Eyes" below:

Let me know what do u think of this deaf culture.
See Ya!

Entry for March 23, 2007

I went to a grocery at Wal-Mart this early afternoon. My mother dropped me off there. She replaced Dad cuz he was still in the hospital and resting there after his surgery. I went to get a case for my digital camera while I was doing a shopping. And then ate my lunch at McDonald's. Afterwards, I went on continued doing a grocery. My neck got a hit by a bottle of cheese dip for crackers as I was trying to get it from the top shelf but I am okay and not hurting. It was an accident. I noticed so many shoppers were lined up waiting for their turn at the counter when I finished shopping. I waited 10-15 minutes outside for Mom to pick me up. She's late again. I knew her well. Finally, Mom showed up. She dropped me off at my place. Mom did put my food away before she gets me from her car. And then she left. Mom went to get Dad from a hospital. That's good news.
UPDATE on Dad: I've got more details about him. I learned that Dad had a blockage in main artery of his heart, but doctors put a stent in the main artery to open it up yesterday. Do u know what the stent looks alike? I do. I have heard about it on the news few times.
As I was looking at Mom's fax message that she wanted me to tell David about Dad this morning but David already knows, I noticed she spelled "stint" but it turned out wrong when I went searching for Yahoo Image minutes ago. I was confused by this spelling word. So, I corrected it.
That's it for now.

Art Portrait Of My Dad

This is an art portrait of my Dad. It was painted by my mother's sister, Ginny. Aunt Ginny gave it to Mom as her birthday present in 1973. Few years ago, Dad gave it to me when he came over to my place for a visit so I can have it. I love that picture very much. I took a digital photo of Dad in my bedroom several minutes ago. It gave me a good idea.
Have news about Dad. Dad is in the hospital for having plagues in his arteries to be cleaned out this morning. His arteries has been repaired successfully. Thank God. This reminds me of Regis Philbin who was having a heart surgery last week like I blogged about him. Anyways, I didn't want to tell u about Dad. I had to wait and see what happened. When I found out he's going back to the hospital few days ago, I was surprised. I asked Dad what's wrong with him. He told me about his heart little bit. I noticed he's tired and having a trouble breathing sometimes when he came over. Anyways, Dad is staying at the hospital as he was about recovering from his surgery for 2 days or so.
