March 28, 2009: Trip to A Library. A Herb Festival on the Riverside. And Another Trip to Wal-Mart.

At The Library
That Saturday morning, I went to a library and stayed there for 3 hours.  Dad dropped me there.  Mother asked me to stay there longer cuz she would pick me up.  I looked around inside the library.  I enjoyed it.  I borrowed 5 DVD movies and a book.  2 of 5 DVD movies  and a book are Jane Austen, a famous writer in the early 19th century.  After I am done with the library, I went outside and looked at the Halifax River and the beachside.  The weather turned out hot but windy.  As I was looking at the river, there's a festival going on at the corner of riverside, north from the city hall and library.  Many people kept coming there for interesting reasons.  I guess it's a plant festival cuz I saw few people were carrying some pretty plants as they were returning to his or her car in the parking lot in the back of library.  And it's time for me to go back to the back of library cuz my mother would be arriving to pick me up anytime.  But Mom didn't showing up on time.  I knew she's always late.  I wish I could have a Blackberry pager or cell phone with me but I don't have one this time.  I was about going to be upset.  I felt alone.  A strange, friendly lady asked me if I am alright.  I told her I don't have a cell phone and forgot my mother's cell phone number but she have one so she called my home for me but no answer from there.  I was disappointed but I am okay.  Long after the lady left, finally, my mother showed up.  About 45 minutes late.  I was mad at her.  We were argued about "to-be-on-time".  Mom said I wasn't listening to what she said that morning.  I don't think Mom said that.  I told her I am hungry.  Mom wanted to go inside the library and to look for old small books that were on sale after we had to forget about our personal agruement.  We left the library when Mom is finished.

At Herb Festival On The Riverside
Then we went to a plant festival that Mom wanted to go cuz she has a friend who is selling things there.  It turned out a herb festival, not plant.  There are so many booths everywhere.  Selling things at each booth like pairs of new earrings, some clothes, plants, etc.  We went inside an historical house.  It looks cool.  Some club ladies were volunteering to serve people a special, healthy food.  I did try to eat a slice of strange colorful bread that Mom and I shared it together.  Inside the sliced bread is a green and yellow.  But it turned out good.  After we finished touring that site, we went to Wal-Mart for buying more food.

Trip to Wal-Mart
Mother wanted me to hurry up.  First, I had to get my late lunch at McDonald's.  I was so hungry.  I ordered a small Spirite and a cheeseburger.  Then I raced around inside Wal-Mart to get what I wanted:  Food and aspirins.  I had to get a package of 2 bottles of inbuprofen pills cuz I had a headache at that time since it started to build in my forehead again that morning.  After I finished shopping, I took aspirins immediately while I waited for Mom to finish her shopping.  And then we went home.

The Keeper: The Legend of Omar Khayyam

Rating:★★★★★
Category:Movies
Genre: Drama
Actually, this is a bio-movie. It's a true story about this famous Persian intellectual poet in the 11th century. Have you heard about this? I have never heard of this Persian poet until a month ago at the time I watched this DVD movie that my oldest brother, Joe, owns. Mother loaned it to me one night. I guess she recommended it to me. Wow, it's interesting.

A 12 years old boy in the 21st century flew to London alone and looking for his relative, The Heiress, played by Vanessa Redgrave, there when he discovered his ancestor was a famous poet. The Heiress showed him the very beautiful big red book that looks like Persian written poems by Omar Khayyam. The story has been passed down in his family from one generation to another, and now it is his responsibility to keep the story alive for future generations. I wish I could give you more details about this movie but I cannot. You will be surprised to find out. I am recommending you should see this wonderful movie. I like this movie very much.

My Health Experience. Trips to Wal-Mart and Library.

I had terrible experienced pains in my stomach.  Pains came back again a week later after my birthday.  Ugh.  That was so unexpected.  I can't figure out what's wrong with me but it took me a month to solve my health condition.  I can't understand why.  I felt uneasy and trapped staying home, u know.  I was so concerned about my private health situation when I went out.  I feared if something inside made me feeling uncomfortable and wanting to the restroom.  I can't stand it anymore.  It supposed to be waited and holding steady until I go home when I finished shopping and the deaf club ended.  I kept telling Mom old pills, Imodium, don't work for me continously.  Those pills were unsuccessful.  Until on Sunday morning in almost late February, I was sick again.  My mother sent Dad to get a medication at Walgreen's for me.  The new package that Dad bought called Imodium, a mult-symptom relief like a relief of diarrhea plus:  Gas, cramps, and pressure, and bloating.  Yes, I figured out I have experienced like them.  Hmmm.  They are something else.  I didn't know I have gases that pained me so much for a month.  My goodness.  Why should I have known about it?  I was confused.  They worked successfully.  After that, I felt so relieving immediately and started to eat food when I feel I am so hungry.  Wow.  LOL!  No more pains since last late month ago.  I feel great and my energy is back on track.  I kept busy little bit, not much.  I went out sometimes socially.  No problem.

March 6, 2009:  Trip to Wal-Mart

I went to Wal-Mart that Friday morning.  I decided to buy my own new hair dryer cuz the switch in my old one is broken.  I discovered it last month when I turned it on after taking a shower one day.  I used it for a long time.  I had no problem with it until the switch broke.  I was looking for better price, no more than 15 dollars, and picked out the purple dryer from the shelf.  It looks a new to me.  I like it.  I didn't want my mother to find out about my old hair dryer cuz she would have loaning it to me from her room or Joe's room as if Mom is cheap.  I knew she would and I kept it a secret from Mom for almost a month.  Then I had a breakfast at McDonald's there.  Afterwards, I went to do shopping for food.  I went home when I finished it.

March 21, 2009:  Trip to Library

I went to the library in Ormond Beach after I had a breakfast at home that morning.  I returned 2 of 5 Entertainment Weekly magazines after I finished reading them.  I borrowed 5 DVD movies and a book from there.  After visiting the library, I went outside to enjoy the weather for awhile but the weather looked breezy and partly cloudy but nice.  LOL, my hair was blowing all over my face as I was looking at Halifax River, across the street from the library and the city hall.  And then I went home.  But later that evening, I realized I have a problem in my library record online when I discovered there's no list of 3 Entertainment Weekly magazine issuses.  I thought I still have a list in there.  I sent an email about it to the library right away.  The next day, on Sunday, I decided to go back to the library again to have someone fixing my problem.  Before I left my home, I had prepared writing down the problem with my library record online in the note pad and put it in my bag after I finished it cuz I knew the librarian would be misunderstanding what I say as if I am trying to inform her clearly.  I gave the note to a librarian about it when I arrived there that afternoon after it opened.  She did solving my problem successfully.  Whew!  I am relieved.  Then I returned 4 DVD movies.  I finished watching them the night.  After I had a business with the librarian, I borrowed 4 DVD movies and 2 Harry Potter books, year 1 and year 2.  I went home when I am done visiting.  I had a fun there.

February 11, 2009: DHHS Grand Valentine Dinner Party

I am sorry that I am late to do blogging this subject cuz I kept delaying it due to pains in my stomach that made me uncomfortable.  I will tell u about it in the next blog.  I was supposed to do this great story that I had a wonderful experience.  So, here is my blog:

I wore a pretty outfit that night.  A gold silky blouse with long sleeves and ivory skirt.  And a pair of ivory wedding shoes.  I looked so formal.  I was feeling okay.  My bus came in on time.  DHHS Grand Valentine Dinner party was held at Palmetto Club in Daytona Beach and by Easter Seals.  In case u don't know what DHHS stands for, it stands for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Service.  I recongized some deaf and hearing people from deaf club when I arrived at the party.  Nova and her boyfriend, Tom, Amy and Chuck, David (the other guy, not my youngest brother), Nadine, and some others I know.  About 75 people came to dinner.  I ordered a drink but actually, it's not alcoholic beverage, virgin margarita.  It tastes very good.  I love it.  LOL!  And then I chatted with other people before the dinner started but we had to pray first.  I already chose what I want for dinner.  The main course I picked out was chicken kiev.  After dinner, I had a slice of carrot cake.  My coffee looked too dark so I don't want to drink it cuz I felt it's no good.  Yuck.  Then Nova and Tom were hosting to play a game called "Newlywed Game" on the stage after dinner.  Do u know about this kind of game?  It referred to a TV game show that Bob Eubanks hosted in the late 1960s, '70s, '80s, and '90s.  There are 4 couples were involved in it.  This game was so funny!  LOL!  One of 4 couples received a plastic box of huge Valentine Kiss Candy.  After this game, few people received winning prizes when their name was announced.  People were about leaving when the game was finished.  I asked my deaf friend, Nadine, to take few pictures of me sitting on the old-fashioned couch.  I had to sit there after I got out of the wheelchair. It was my idea.  One of pictures look good.  I finished posting several digital photos in the photo album in this Multiply minutes ago.  Go check them out, please.  Also, I have some photos that business photographer took at the party in the website of Easter Seals.  Amy sent this website to us in an email last late month ago.  Anyways, I was curious to check out the new videophone that the Purple Team brought to us.  It can be using for a travel.  Sounds cool.  It's called Mobile Videophone (MVP).  It's free.  Then I did signing it up.  Right now, I am still waiting for someone to inform me about it when MVP is ready delivering to me.  Back to the party, it's about over.  Amy contacted my youngest brother, David, by using her Blackberry pager thru i711 when I am ready to go home.  She did it successfully.  David was going to pick me up.  I waited outside with Amy.  The weather that night was so nice and cool, not bad.  David did arrive to get me in his shiny blue Honda car.  And then I went home.  I had a good time at the Valentine Dinner party.  It was successful and wonderful.

March 13, 2009: Silent (Signing) Dinner at Cracker Barrel

That Friday early evening, I went to a Silent (Signing) Dinner at Cracker Barrel on a popular tourist strip, International Speedway Blvd.  Cracker Barrel is a country restaurant.  This is not my type of food but I kind of like it.  I decided to go there cuz I don't like staying home too much on weekends and staying home makes me boring.  Thank God, I got out of my family's mansion.  I wanted to have fun there and meeting some people that I don't know but my hearing interperter, Nova, knew.  My hearing interpreter, Nova, was a host there but still do being it.  Silent Dinner is where u can't allow to talk with anyone.  Hearing and deaf people must learn how to sign each other at the table.  Some hearing people are ASL students and teachers.  Other deafies taught them correctly if hearing people are trying to remember ASL.  As my bus arrived there on time, I recongized few of my friends from the deaf club were about entering into that restaurant but I didn't see Nova in a person yet.  I guess someone is calling the group when the table is ready.  I recongized some people I know from the deaf club when I found them at the table.  Oh, boy, the restaurant was so full of hungry customers cuz it's Friday.  Can't u believe it?  Wow!  Waiters and waitresses were sooooo busy and kept running around it back and forth.  I saw Nova at the end of table with her boyfriend, Tom.  I was glad to see Nova again.  She was chatting with other friends there.  And then I ordered a dinner:  A cheeseburger with bacon and fried steaks and a drink of raspberry lemonade.  Shoot, I forgot about the drink of apple cider.  OOPS, next time I will order a different one.  The apple cider is one of my favorite drinks and a very delicious.  A cheeseburger with bacon looks so huge but very delicious.  Yummmmmy!  Anyways, I met unknown people at the table.  I learned that a hearing woman is an ASL teacher at an elementary school in Palm Coast, north of Ormond Beach.  She's also a mother of 3 kids but 2 of them were with her.  I had fun chatted with people.  They were nice.  After dinner, I ordered a hot fudge ice cream mug.  Yummy!  I took 2 boxes to home.  A halfway of cheeseburger and the other box is many fried steaks but I did eat some of them at the table, not much, and plastic bag of biscuits.  After my friends and I left the table, I can't push the wheelchair myself cuz I carried an ice cream mug but I got a help from a young, female ASL student.  I carried it while I looked at merchandises around the shop as an ASL student pushed my wheelchair.  I decided to buy a bottle of water.  I did.  And then we went outside.  I had a plenty of time to enjoy the outside that night cuz my Dad could come to get me in 30 minutes.  I was not worrying if I would keep Dad waiting too long, u know.  However, I played a game called checkers at the table with the other young woman while waiting for Dad to pick me up.  I won it.  Ha, Ha.  I almost figured out how to play checkers as if I am trying to remember that kind of game.  I haven't playing it in a long time.  I did it few times when I was a young girl.  Then suddenly, all of people I was with at the table had to go right away.  Here is I was alone again after they left.  I think my hearing interperter don't understand what I said in a sign language when Nova came back to get her binder that she forgot.  I figured she's confusing and districting due to her brain surgery when Nova was 14.  I tried to tell her that I don't want to be alone until my father arrives.  Finally, my father arrived at the restaurant and picked me up from there.  Then I went home.  I had a wonderful evening that night.  I enjoyed the dinner and chatting with other people.

February 21, 2009 and March 7, 2009: GDBAD

February 21, 2009:

I went to the deaf club at a different place called Elks Lodge in Daytona Beach that early evening.  Elks Lodge is where many war veterans attending for their social life.  Many deaf people were there.  I ate a hot dog with french fries.  Yummy!  And then later on, we were playing a Bingo.  I won #2 of 5 games.  Finally, I did it!  I was glad to receive some money.  We had a cake that was so good on the break from playing the game.

March 7, 2009:

Bike Week was about almost over.  My bus was late, I guess, due to a bad traffic jam by a full crowd of motorcycles everywhere.  Finally, the bus arrived to pick me up.  As the bus was on the way to the Elks Lodge where the deaf club was having a Deaf Bike Week, I could hear the roaring sound of motorcycles everywhere and noticed the traffic jam looked so full of crowd between Ridgewood Avenue and International Speedway Blvd.  A motorcyclist asked the bus driver a question about something.  I don't know what it is cuz I am hard of hearing.  And then the bus had detouring to the other street.  Next is that he had turned left to the same street where he was going to originally and the traffic was not jammed.  As the bus was arrived at my destination, I noticed so several motorcycles were so full in the driveway across the street from Elks Lodge.  Wow!  Then the bus dropped me off at the place where the deaf club is helded.  I ordered a drink of Sprite and a hot dog with cole slaws immediately after I found few deaf friends at their table.  I saw so many deaf people kept coming in.  Included some students from my deaf friend's ASL class.  We were chatting alot.  Later on, we had a huge Deaf Bike Week cake.  Then we were playing few kinds of games like ruffles and door prizes.  I didn't win but I am okay.  I stopped by looking at a new thing that a deaf man demonatrating on the table after I picked up my foot pads that are attaching to my wheelchair.  I had seen this same man before but I don't know who he is.  He works for a video relay service, not Sorenson.  I told him I already ordered a free different one but I am still waiting to hear from the Purple Team.  I also told him if I change my mind about it in the future, I will contact him about this new thing.  Several minutes later, I went home late that night.  Dad picked me up.  I had a good time at the deaf club.
