July 31, 2007: Went to the Hospital for 2 Things to Do Today.

After 8 am today, I went to the hospital, a north of where I live. It's nearby, not far, just 5 minutes to get there for personal reasons. I've skipped breakfast cuz I had to take a blood test first. My mother took me there. I took a medication, Nexium, before I left my apt cuz I have to take it for 1 hour before eating a meal. Anyways, we arrived in the main lobby at the hospital and asked for a registration there. Then I waited for my turn. I don't need to drink a coffee yet until I am done with a blood test. When someone is calling my name, I went in an office with my mother. After that, we were headed for the laboratory dept. Several minutes later, my name had been called. I went in the room of blood test. I did get a shot but no cry like a baby. LOL! I was cried and screaming as shots went into one of my arms when I was a little girl but not anymore now. Afterwards, I went to the X-ray dept. Then I waited in the same room again until my name had been called. I did get chest and rib X-rays. About 4 or 5 times. And then I am done! So, I went to get a coffee in the main lobby right away. I felt so good when I drank a coffee. Ahhhhhh. I missed breakfast. Too late. No time to cook it myself at home. But I did eat lunch at home. I stayed at the hospital with my mother for 2 hours.

July 30, 2007: Visited A Doctor Today. A Library

I went to see a doctor this early afternoon. The reason I went there is that I keep getting coughs since May and a problem with my right side. At the bottom of my right lung is stiff and hurts. That's why I got sick last March. I can't give u some details but some of my friends and family know. When I arrived at a doctor's office, I met a female doctor who is a very nice to me. We were discussing my health problems personally. She gave me 3 prescribed sheets: An X-ray; 2 prescriptions; and a very personal thing that I can't tell u. I will take a blood test tomorrow early morning. This is 2nd time since 2 yrs ago or so that I took. I think my Mom forgets to call a deaf service that I asked for an interpreter. No interpreter I requested at a doctor's office. I am disappointed at my mom. I was trying to understand what a female doctor is saying but it was difficult.
Mom wanted to go to a library after visiting a doctor. I waited in the car for her but windows were opening.
I did go to the library last Sat. Borrowed 2 DVD movies from there: "Elizabethtown" and "Shopgirl". And then I went home.

Dolphin Connection: An Inspirational Story of Joan Ocean

See a picture above, this is Joan and me at the nursing home of her mother in late October 2005. At that time, Hurricane Wilma already left Florida few days before I saw Joan again. When I found out Hurricane Wilma was coming to Florida, I was concerned about her airline schedule if it was going to be delayed but Joan did make it. On the day we met again, the weather turned out gusty windy and cool. It changed rapidly.

I am typing to blog about spiritual and inspirational lady named Joan Ocean here. I first met Joan Ocean in May 2005 at that time she was visiting her mother at a nursing home in my hometown. She’s a friend of my mother and a daughter of a client my mother works with at a nursing home. I just finished reading Joan’s 1989 book called, “Dolphin Connection”, recently. She wrote it. Joan gave her book to my mother first and then later on my mother gave it to me. Very impressive at what she have done with dolphins and helped with her clients to connect dolphins. I am going to tell u about this special lady who communicates with dolphins and whales.

Joan began interesting to discuss stories of dolphin meeting with her new friends, Dr. John Lilly, a scientist, and his wife, Toni, when she attended a workshop in Montana in 1978. Every night she dreamed of dolphins and whales but as being a non-swimmer, she did not yet enter the water to meet them. She felt a contact from dolphins through meditation and expanded consciousness. Joan and her artist friend, Jean-Luc Bozzoli founded their organization, Dolphin Connection, to explore the advancement of human consciousness, biophysics and spirituality by producing visionary films, books, artforms and Ocean Seminars encouraging friendships between people and ocean-swimming dolphins and whales in 1984 after Joan left her few different jobs that made her feeling discouraged. At that time, she did learn how to swim. Joan did a success by making a contact with dolphin by feeling love and quiet. It made her healing and healthy like it removed her from the weight of all the things she owned, all the bills, all the hectic schedules, to swim free from block in the world. It works for her! Joan is still working at Dolphin Connection for 20 plus years and living in Hawaii. She’s enjoying her job and currently very busy teaching her clients at several seminars.

According from Joan’s book, telepathic communication was an exchange of information between cetaceans and humans. Cetaceans is the word that means animals belonging to the order Cetacea, including dolphins, porpoises, and whales. Communicating with Dolphins is like a magic. Dolphins solve humans’ problem. It’s true. Very helpful. Humans with emotional and health problems can be comfortable and relaxing when they encounter a dolphin in an ocean when they went on to sign up Joan’s seminar. Dolphins heal them immediately when divers went underwater and lifts their weight off from their body. Divers were feeling better and had an awesome experience afterwards.

I have heard that dolphins can help pregnant women to prepare for birth of their baby in underwater. It’s true. I saw a program about it on TV few years ago or so. Dolphins observe and sense a new life and volunteer their assistance. They act like a nursemaid to babies when they were born. Each mother and child rejoins the dolphins that assist in the delivery and a deep friendship develops. They pass a communication to babies. Children are joyfully greeted by the same dolphins year after year when children returned to underwater.

Do u know what sasquatch is? It means a large hairy humanoid creature, a Bigfoot. Joan have exerienced contacting a sasquatch on a neighboring island unexpectedly. It’s her true story in her website. One day in the future, I might go to Joan’s seminars in Hawaii. I don’t have an experience with dolphins yet but I will in the water. Or go to 2 different other places in Orlando and Key West where dolphins residence.

Young Blind Kids Can Read Braille edition of New 'Potter'

Tonight as I was watching Nightly News on NBC, I've heard young blind kids are a big fan of Harry Potter and can read Braille edition of new book. Do u know what Braille is? Braille means a system of writing invented by Louis Braille, in which letters and some combinations of letters are represented by raised dots arranged in three rows of two dots each and are read by the blind and partially sighted using the fingertips. Anyways, they are very excited and happy about getting Braille new book 7. Here is an article online below:

BOSTON - Fourteen-year-old Ashley Bernard has been a huge Harry Potter fan since she was 7, but each time a new book comes out, she’s had to wait longer than most of her friends to get a copy.
Bernard is blind, and the first six Potter books were not published in Braille until some time after they hit book retailers. Not this time.
For the seventh and final installment of the schoolboy wizard’s battles against the evil Voldemort, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” the National Braille Press is making the book available to the blind at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, the same time that sighted readers can buy print versions of the book.
“I am so happy. I have a lot of friends who really like the books so they are going to be talking about it. If I don’t have the book right when they do, I’m going to be totally lost,” said Bernard, who has been blind since birth.
“When you don’t have a Braille version, people always say, ‘Couldn’t you get someone to read it to you?’ But it’s not the same thing. Would you want someone to read it to you?” she said.
The National Braille Press is mailing out copies of author J.K. Rowling’s book late this week so they will be delivered on Saturday for those who can’t make it to Boston to pick up a copy in person.
“We have an army of white owls getting ready to drop them on doorsteps across the country on Saturday morning,” said Diane Croft, vice president of publishing and marketing, referring to the method of transporting mail in the Potter books.
For the book to be released Saturday, publisher Scholastic Inc. made an advance copy available to the National Braille Press, and employees have been working feverishly for two weeks to get the Braille version ready for distribution, a labor intensive process because so much has to be done by hand.
The Braille version will be 1,100 pages in 10 volumes, weigh 12 pounds, and stand a foot tall when stacked up.
The National Braille Press usually does a press run of 200 to 300 copies of a new book, but will produce 1,400 copies for “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.”
“This is largest press run we’ve ever done for a book,” Croft said.
In 2000, when the Harry Potter fervor was intensifying, the press produced copies of No. 4 in the series, “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” in just a few weeks, an unheard of accomplishment in the world of Braille publishing at the time.
In 2005, the press released a Braille version of “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” just three days after the print version was released.
And as thousands line up at traditional book stores before the 12:01 a.m. release of the book, the Boston headquarters of the Braille press will hold its own “midnight magic” Harry Potter costume party, where more than a dozen children are expected to pick up their copies.
Bernard, who said she has read every Potter book a couple of times “at least,” plans to be there to be one of the first to get the book.
“I like the character development. I like the plot, I like the action, I like how she describes everything so vividly so you can feel like you’re there almost,” Bernard said.
Bernard said getting the book at the same time as her friends is particularly important for the final installment of the series, with anticipation about the ending reaching a fevered pitch.
“I don’t want to be disappointed that someone is going to tell me what happens,” she said.
And other deaf, crippled kids if they are on a normal IQ, I am sure, are going to be an enthusiastic about getting a new book 7. Other disabled adults, too.
I heard on the news tonight that kids are staying up late at bookstore and waiting for the book 7 to come out at midnight in all of this United States. I guess kids will be very tired after midnight when they get home from there. LOL! I figured it out.

My weekend is okay. I went to a library last Sat. As Mom was about parking her car in the handicapped space when we arrived at a library, I've heard Mom saying a bad thing, when she realized she forgot something for library. I have never heard her saying that before. Then I had to renew my bookthere. Found out the fee of Harry Potter Year 1 book still charged me but this is a mistake. Not again. As I am recalling I sent Dad it with other books back there 2 or 3 months ago. I am waiting for someone to delete it out in the file of my name in the computer immediately. Anyways, I borrowed 2 DVD movies from there, "Eragon" and "The Nativity Story". I couldn't find anything else to watch. And then I went home.
I stay home yesterday. We had a thunderstorm that Sunday afternoon. I stay away from windows during lightening. I read a book.

July 13, 2007: Got A New Bed Set Up

Hello, everybody!
I didn't do blogging last night cuz I was tired and busy cleaning up things at home.
Got my new queen bed set up last night. Mom and Joe came by to fix the bed for me in my bedroom. They finally showed up at my place. It looks a neat and a different size little bit than a first one I had when I got married. Very comfortable to sleep in. I slept in it for the first time since 2003. Ahhhhh. Felt good. That new bed is low than my daybed. Nice bed stuff. Beautiful colors to match the color of my bedroom but it looks okay to my taste. In the future, I will buy a different color of bed materials. Dad delivered a bag of bed spread to me this afternoon. Mom washed it for me.
Cleaned up things at my apt this morning and late afternoon but I did take a break. It was a mess! LOL!
I have to go now. I am making a dinner. SYL!

This unicorn named Crystal sitting and relaxing on the beach to greet u, bloggers. Crystal enjoyed watching the ocean. Her beautiful Mistress is in an ocean for a swim as Crystal is waiting for her.

July 11, 2007: New Bed Mattress, Wal-Mart, and Lady Bird Johnson

Good evening...
This morning, I've got unexpected guests, my brother, Joe, and Mom. Joe delivered a new, queen bed mattress to my place with a help from my mother. I was surprised to see those bed mattress. I was waiting for Dad to take me to a grocery at Wal-Mart but Dad was not there. Instead, Mom planned to take me there later on. About new queen bed mattress, Joe and Mom were not setting it up immediately cuz they have things to do at their home. It can be wait. I can't get through between the mattress and the lanudry center cuz I may get shorts in one of drawers of a dresser and tossing dirty stuff into the lanudry center. When will they come back to set it up for me? Sooner? I hope they are not wasting their time. I am glad to have a new bed mattress but I feel I am not ready to get a new one until when I move to another place. I guess Mom and Joe are rushing things to be done. About the dining table in my bedroom, it will move to the living room first and then set up a new bed. I started to make a breakfast myself after Joe and Mom left.
I went to Wal-Mart, next to I-95 highway, not the new neighborhood one I went to last Sat cuz items there don't have enough to be displayed. Thank god when I saw the small, yellow and red book is on the display. Finally. Remember I told u about that in few blogs ago? That book is called, "There Is MORE to the Secret" by Ed Gungor, a writer, speaker, and visionary leader. Ed is also a friend of Rhonda Byrnes who wrote a book, "The Secret". I grabbed it right away. Also bought a new purse. Very pretty. I love it. And then went home.
I heard Lady Bird Johnson is passed away today at age 94 on the TV news. She was widow of former U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson. Do u know about this Lady Bird? I did not know who she was until I was a teenager. I know about her little bit. Lady Bird used to live at The White House with her hubby who was a President of U.S. before my time. They lived there together for 6 years. President Johnson was about leaving The White House at the time I was born 3 weeks before Richard Nixon became a President of United States. July 10, 2007: Small Plane Crashed Into 2 Sanford Homes

This morning, I was watching, "Live With Regis and Kelly" shortly after 9 am but this program was interrupted by a local TV news station suddenly. It's a breaking news. Not again. I complained little bit. Learned that a small plane from Daytona Beach crashed into 2 homes that were destroyed by a fire in Sanford, north of Orlando. It was trying to land at an airport nearby. I can't believe what I saw on the TV news. Here is an article online from a local TV news:
5 Killed In Sanford Plane Crash
SANFORD, Fla. -- A small plane crashed into a Seminole County neighborhood on Tuesday killing five people and sparking a fire.

It happened at the Preserves at Lake Monroe subdivision along Wilson Bay Ridge Street, WESH 2 News reported.

One of the victims aboard the plane was identified as Dr. Bruce Kennedy, a plastic surgeon and son-in-law of Bill France Jr., the former head of NASCAR who died earlier this year. The second person aboard the plane was not immediately identified.

The plane was a Cessna 310 enroute from Daytona Beach to Lakeland when it reported smoke in the cockpit and declared an emergency. It crashed about 3 miles north-northwest of Orlando-Sanford International Airport and was registered to Competitor Liaison Bureau Inc. of Daytona Beach, Federal Aviation Administration representative Kathleen Bergen said.

State officials said Competitor Liason Bureau is a company registered to France.

In addition to the five deaths, at least three people, including a man, a woman and a child, were critically injured, and two helicopters were called to transport the victims to local hospitals, Sanford Police Department spokeswoman Cleo Cohen said. A search is under way for a 4-year-old child missing since the crash.

An off-duty Lake Mary firefighter was also treated for chest pains after rushing into a home to rescue a 10-year-old boy without an oxygen tank. He was transported to a hospital.

Neighborhood residents said they could hear the plane over their subdivision before the aircraft crashed into two homes.

"First I heard a plane flying overhead. It sounded like a semitruck coming down the road trying to slow down. As soon as it hit, it exploded into flames," a witness said.

Video from Chopper 2 showed two homes were gutted by the crash and fire. A third home was also damaged. Multiple fire engines are at the scene working to extinguish the flames. Neighbors said they were terrified in the aftermath of the crash.

"A boy jumped out of the second story. He was on fire and extinguished himself. The wife ran out of the front door. She was on fire. Someone was screaming about a baby still inside the house," a witness said.

The subdivision is located along Riverview and Narcissus avenues. The homes in the subdivision are only a few years old, reports indicated.


When I found out Dr. Bruce Kennedy is the son-in-law of NASCAR chairman, Bill Frances, Jr. who passed away a month ago, I was surprised to learn that he is related to Bill Frances, Jr. who created speedway in my hometown in the 1950s. Anyways, a local TV news kept continuing to report about that terrible situation for 3 hours. It was a big news this morning. Hello!
My weekend is okay. I went to Starbucks that Sat morning for a breakfast. Enjoyed outside while eating my breakfast. Afterwards, I looked around new items that are on a sale outside a clothing shop but not interesting to buy anything. Then on the way to a new grocery at a neighborhood Wal-Mart, south of my apt, I saw a blimp above speedway. Wow, that's a huge. Car racing fans were having a field day. Anyways, I went inside to look around a new place in riding a new, different cart. That food store is not a supercenter. I went to get something. I was confused where I need to get. And then I went home but I realized I forgot to get more toothpaste. Next time.
Watched my own DVD movies while eating my lunch that Saturday afternoon.
Florida is having a hot weather this week. No rains.

Hello!
I was sounded disappointing yesterday. On the early morning of the 4th of July, I glared at the weather thru the window of my living room after I opened the blind. It looked cloudy and was about going to rain. I heard there is a 70% chance of rain on a local TV news a day before. I didn't want to hear that. I was hoping the weatherman is wrong. I was so busy that morning in preparing to leave my place for going to my deaf friend's house. She was supposed having a 4th of July party. A hearing/interpreter friend, Nova, was going to pick me up at my apt that late morning. As I was about going to do my makeup in the bedroom, Amy B. e-mailed me unexpectedly and gave us a bad news when I went to check my e-mails. In Amy's email, she informed us that her party is cancelled due to an awful weather and her hubby, Chuck, is not feeling well. I was sounding disappointed so then I called Nova thru a relay service in my computer. I believe at that time she was watching a parade in her hometown, Flagler Beach, north of Ormond Beach when I called her. I informed and asked her about it. Nova did get an e-mail in her cell phone. I don't like getting cancellations. That's one of my pet peeves. Also, I don't want to hear that. Rain kept continuing all day, off and on repeatly. It looked gloomy. Anyways, I stay home all day. It made me so boring. I was very excited about going to a 4th of July party at my deaf friend's house in New Smyrna Beach but rains ruined my plans. Nova thinks people doesn't get much celebrations due to a bad weather. It's true. That night, I heard fireworks popping up but I don't see anything in the dark sky outside as I was watching Macy's 4th of July Fireworks on TV at the same time. In my thought about this TV event, one day, I would like to visit NYC for watching 4th of July Fireworks on my summer vacation cuz fireworks look much bigger than my hometown. Last year in my hometown, the weather looked good and perfect. No problem. I had a wonderful time. I will never forget it. I hope next year will be better than yesterday.
I heard on a local TV news that fireworks will be rescheduled to be displayed in Daytona Beach this weekend in time for Pepsi 400 Speedway where car racing fans will flock to. The weather that weekend will look good but hot. I am sure car racing fans are bringing coldest bottles of water there.
Guess who's coming to Daytona Beach this weekend? Rudy Giuliani, a former NYC Mayor, and is currently running for President of U.S. came to visit American Industrial Plastics in Daytona Beach with his 3rd wife today but he will be back to Daytona Beach for going to watch the car race this weekend after Giuliani has his business trips in Jacksonville and Orlando.

I went shopping at Wal-Mart this morning. I can't find another book that is a sequel to "The Secret". They are all gone on the shelf! Oh, well. Next time. Also, I can't find 4th of July oufit anywhere in that big store. I am going to wear it on Wed. But I have another idea to wear at home. As I was riding in a cart, I felt it's slow down. Weird. I wanted it to be a hurry up. That cart, I guess, is very old. It needs to be replaced. Another cart, a new one, is much better that I rode in before. And then I went home when I finished shopping.
Last Saturday, I was sick. That's why I stay home. I've had terrible coughs due to a heartburn. Let me tell u what happened. First in March, I had abdominal pains until it reduced 2 months later after I took Pepcid. But in April I've decided I don't need taking Pepcid chewables anymore. I have enough. I was fine then but until in May coughs started to develop. I didn't understand how coughs got me in. I kept getting coughs for weeks. I was tired of fighting them off last week. Worst. Then finally my mother had strange feelings as she was figured out what's wrong. Mother suggested I should take Prilosec last Friday morning. I did take it and waited 30 minutes before eating breakfast. It worked. Coughs stopped. Thank God. I am still working on to get rid of coughs. Mother thinks I've eaten dairy too much. That's why those food makes me coughing. I love dairy much but I can't stop eating them. I am trying to stop eating dairy for awhile. Soon, hopefully, I will be feeling better.
