The Jane Austen Book Club (2007 Film)

I watched this romance drama DVD movie that I rented from Blockbuster last month. I enjoyed it. This movie was made by a book. The 2004 book was written by Karen Joy Fowler. I don't remember hearing about this book when it came out at that time until tonight I surfed the Wikipedia to find about this movie. I will want to borrow this great book from a library one day in the future. Anyways, I really like Jane Austen books cuz they give an education and an info to women if those women in this 2009 don't know how to talk to men or have a trouble relationship with them. Actually, I don't have Jane Austen books at home expect a biography about her. I saw some other movies by her novels.

The director named Robin Swicord did a wonderful job to do this movie. She worked hard to make this a successful.

In this movie, there are 5 women and 1 man as members joining the book club to discuss books, "Emma", "Sense and Sensibility", "Mansfield Park", "Northanger Abbey", "Pride and Prejudice", and "Persuasion", once a month. Each of 6 members have a difficult relationship life with their spouse, or a boyfriend, or a girlfriend. This story takes a place near Sacramento, California. U will find out about each of those 6 members individually at his or her home in that movie. U will be surprised to see.

I am recommending this movie to women, and to men who don't have experiencing romance with their important ladies and don't know how. Men should read Jane Austen books, too, so they could have wonderful, successful relationship in their personal experience.

Wal-Mart. The Chart House Restaurant. Emmy Awards.

Last Saturday, I felt boring as if I have had no plans but yesterday I had a fun.

Yesterday afternoon, I went to do a grocery at Wal-Mart.  I asked Wal-Mart employee if she has a new battery to be exchanged for my watch cuz I discovered my watch was not working that afternoon before I left home.  But she said Wal-Mart doesn't have one.  I was disappointed but I think I forgot about it.  I had to buy a different size of battery for my small wireless clock.that I could put in my bathroom.  And then I went on to buy more food until I've decided I am finished.

When Mom and I arrived home in her car that late Sunday afternoon, I got unexpected plans.  Joe made me staying in the car and wanted to take me out to eat.  I was surprised.  That was so unexpected.  I didn't know what he has in his mind.  We went to The Chart House, an expensive seafood restaurant in Daytona Beach.  The Chart House is located on the Halifax River surrounding by many boats everywhere and between 2 condos.  I had been there few times but not much.  That was a long time ago.  The last time I went there was in the Winter of 2005 or 2006.  I recall Joe brought his guests and our parents to celebrate my birthday there but it was belated.  Anyways, the outside that night looks shining and beautiful and quiet.  Joe and I were talked on other things personally.  Our food was so delicious.  I ordered coconut shrimps with rices but this food look so big.  Wow!  I had a salad from the bar before the dinner arrives.  I took this meal to home so Dad can have it cuz I know he would like it very much.

Did u watch Emmy Awards show last night?  I missed watching the first of 3 hours Emmy Awards show that night cuz we were about coming home from a trip to the restaurant in Daytona Beach.  I was looking at Joe's watch by checking out what time while I was at the restaurant.  I realized I am going to miss watching it.  I can't wait to get home but I've got to be patient.  After I got home from a trip to Wal-Mart where Joe had to buy a cologne for Dad, I am so glad that "Recount" won an award.  I haven't seen it but I will rent that DVD movie one day when I have time.  I really wanted to see it badly.  I can't believe Tina Fey won 3 awards.  Tina looks so pretty and sexy but much alike Sarah Palin, Vice President hopeful.  LOL!  Tina is so funny when she played Sarah Palin on SNL. on "TODAY" show.  She dressed up so nicely in it next to Hillary Clinton.  Wow, so many awards went to "John Adams".  I want to see that DVD movie, too.

Melody's Harp Therapy. The Simpsons TV Ad. Madonna.

I went to Melody's house in Daytona Beach for my harp therapy this late morning.   We were discussed a sign lanuguage when I arrived at her house.  She told me exactly that she learned a sign lanuguage from a girl when she was in 5th grade.  Then I made a suggestion that Melody needs to learn and study ASL book at the library. Before starting a therapy, Melody wanted me to circle negative words on her work sheet.  Those negative words stuck in my mind before the therapy.  Negative words are sad/depressed, lonely, hopeless, and my stress level would be between 2 and 4.  I had to pick which level of sounds is the best and then Melody started to play a harp again for 15 minutes.  During a therapy, I felt the vibes started in my feet.  Then my belly acted up but no pain.  I guess baby food banana probably comforted my bowels.  Something pulled negative words out of my head.  The flow started in the right side of my head.  Wow!  I feel that God made me a happy little bit.  After therapy, I feel happy, not alone, peaceful, and my stress level is zero.  I made a speech that Melody wanted to hear like "Are we there yet?"  Sounds like a very good.  I asked Melody to play a harp, "Happy Birthday" to surprise Mom.  I told Melody Mom's birthday is tomorrow.  I thought planning about it on the way to Melody's house this morning before we arrived there in time for my harp therapy.  Mom thanked me as she was driving a car after we left Melody's house.

I went to the library in Ormond Beach after Mom dropped off a storage plastic bag of spoon and a glass jar of baby food banana at my place this early afternoon.  I had renewed a book and I've borrowed 4 DVD movies there.

LOL, I've heard that children's question on a road trip with their parents during summer before.  Did u know that?  Also on the TV ad cartoon, "The Simpsons".  I laughed when The Simpsons TV ad showed up repeatedly since this past Spring.  It has promoted a new theme park adventure at Universal Orlando Resort.  It opens now and called "The Simpsons Ride".

Did u hear about Madonna's marriage on TV news last night?  I can't believe it.  She said she don't love Guy Ritchie anymore.  Madonna and Guy had been married 7 years.

I watched this DVD movie, "I'll Be There" last night. Charlotte Church starred in it for playing a teenage girl who loves sings very much that her mother have no idea. Have u heard about Charlotte Church? I do little bit. I heard about her on U.S. TV media when she was 12, I guess. Charlotte sings beautifully. She's wonderful. Her voice sounds soft. The Scottish rock star played by Craig Ferguson who directed this movie did not know Olivia played by Charlotte is his daughter. That rock star was in full of surprises unexpectedly. He's funny. I've discovered Imelda Staunton who played Harry Potter's strictest school teacher who hates children is in that movie. I was surprised to see her in it when I recognized her. She played the rock star's therapist at the hospital. Imelda also starred in "Much Ado About Nothing" and "Sense and Sensibility". Did u see Imelda was in those movies? I didn't recongizing her name in those several years ago but until the 5th Harry Potter movie. I didn't know about who Imedla is cuz she's a British actress. Anyways, I like this British movie. It's okay but funny. I enjoyed watching it. Can Olivia make it to Royal Academy of Music in London? U will have to find out about it and what's the reaction of Olivia's Mother when she heard Olivia's singing there. My lips are zipped about it. LOL!

TV Miniseries Movie, "The Andromeda Strain"

Did anyone watch 2008 TV miniseries movie, "The Andromeda Strain" last night?  It was on A&E channel.  Benjamin Bratt and Ricky Schroder starred in it.  I did.  Whoa!  I am going to watch it again tonight for a conclusion, a final part 2. 

This is a remake of an original movie in 1971 that starred in by Arthur Hill and David Wayne (I never heard of them when I was a baby).  I watched that 1971 film on TV movie with a CC years ago.  Wow. 

Also, the 1969 book written by Michael Crichton made into it.  I haven't read all of Michael Crichton's books cuz I do not like thriller or horror stuff, u know, but I did see some of movies by his books.  See a picture of Crichton's book below:

A Tribute To Charlton Heston, 1923-2008, An Oscar Winner

Yesterday early morning, I opened up Yahoo mail and checked the news in there.  As I was looking at Yahoo news and found out about the death of a movie star named Charlton Heston.  He passed away last Saturday night.  I can't believe what I found out.  We surely will miss him very much but he's still the legend and will never forget him.  When I found out about his death, I do remember my then boyfriend, Todd, told me in the letter that he met Charlton Heston in a person at the mall in San Diego for doing a book signing during Christmas 1995.  Todd sent Charlton's book to me as a Christmas present in the mailing package cuz he knows I like to read books about famous people.  He was very lucky!  See Charlton Heston's real signature in his autobiography book below:

 Yeah, Todd wish I could be meeting Charlton Heston in a person at the book signing there.  Wow!  I will never forget that Christmas letter and book Todd sent to me in the mail.
I finished reading a book about Charlton after 1995 was over but I will return to read it again later this year.

Dancing With The Stars Season 6 Day 3 - Marlee & Fabian

Bravo, Marlee and Fabian! Mambo! Mambo! I watched it last Monday night. Yesterday, I just learned Marlee and Fabian are saved for the next week. I noticed Fabian signing to her, "You are saved," when their result was announced. He's learning ASL but I figured Fabian studied it for a short time. Wonderful news for them! Yay! Yay! Dancing With The Stars Season 6 Day 2 - Marlee & Fabian

Did u watch "Dancing With The Stars" Day 2 last Tues night? I did. Marlee Matlin did a wonderful job on the dance show. I enjoyed watching what she's doing with Fabian. I am proud of her. I know Marlee can't hear the music but she beats it out successfully! Congratulations on Marlee and Fabian! Marlee looks so absolutely beautiful! The reason Marlee took her dancing job is that her own 4 kids wanted to see their famous mother dancing.

Did u watch Oscars last night? I did. I stayed up late little bit. LOL! I enjoyed watching it. Wow, some of actresses look so beautiful in their gown. I like one of them. I can't believe an Oscar went to "No Country for Old Man" for Best Picture. I am confessing I am haven't seen this movie. I do not like this dark thriller movie cuz a strange man in it scares me. News about Castro and Regis

Did u hear about Cuban President Fidel Casto resigning today?  I guess Fidel can't do a political stuff anymore due to his illness.  I am hoping Cuba will change the law alike U.S.'s.  It means a freedom for Cuban people.  Cuban Americans in Miami are happy when they learned Casto is resigning.




On "Live with Regis and Kelly" this morning, I heard Regis Philbin is becoming a grandfather now.  Yay!  Congratulations to Regis on being Grandfather!  The name of his new grandson is William Xavier.  Xavier is Regis' middle name that had been decided on by his parents.  William was born yesterday morning, Feb 18th at 6 am.  He's 6 lbs.  I am happy for Regis.  Soon, Regis will fly back to L.A. to do Oscars and meet his new grandson.

The Library. DVD Movies

I had a fun Saturday morning. I went to a library for renewing a book and borrowing 2 DVD movies, "Freedom Writers" and "Moby Dick". I purchased an autobiographical book about Paige Davis, a host of "Trading Space" on channel TLC. I am sure u know about her if u have seen "Trading Spaces" since 2001. I stayed there for 1 1/2 hours and then for 3o minutes, I went outside in a wheelchair to look at the beachfront across the river enjoyably. The weather looked nice and sunny and warm. I stayed there in front of the City Hall until Dad showed up unexpectedly. He came in early before noon. Then Dad drove me back to my place.
My parents likes my card very much. I made it for their wedding anniversary. I am glad to hear that.

About the movie, "Moby Dick", I haven't read a book about this movie but I heard. I can't find this 1998 movie title that Patrick Stewart starred to play Captain Ahab. I am fan of Patrick Stewart. He's from "Star Trek", u know.  I am disappointed but I am okay.  Instead, Gregory Peck played it, too, in this 1956 film. I do remember one of Stewart's "Star Trek" movies, "Star Trek: First Contact", has been mentioning "Moby Dick" during an argument between Captain Picard and 2063 black lady named Lily Sloane, played by Alfre Woodard.  I guess Stewart have no idea that he was going to play Captain Ahab in "Moby Dick" until 2 years later.

Have u seen the movie, "Freedom Writers"? It's very good and real story about a high school teacher named Erin Gruwell in Long Beach, California. I like this movie very much. Wow! This movie was made from a book written by her and students. It's true. I am impressed at what Ms. Gruwell doing to help crazy and troubled students in her English Class. She's smart. Mrs. Gruwell helped troubled students to understand the situation of gang and racist issues. The students did turning around in their life successfully. I have heard about this great high school teacher few years ago. She was on Oprah in real life for discussing bio-movie with an audience. U will be surprised to see more details in it but I can't give them to u until u sees it. I am recommending this excellent bio-movie to u. January 25, 2008: TODAY Show Interview With Former Child Star Ricky Schroder

Do u remember watching Silver Spoons on NBC in the early 198os? I did when I was teenager but some of episodes I watched but the closed-caption wasn't ready to be invented yet. Ricky Schroder was in it for playing a son of a wealthy man. He also was a former child star. I saw some of his childhood movies, not much, before Ricky went on to become a TV star. I didn't think he looked cute back then but now, I do recall how cute Ricky was. After Ricky left TV series, I hadn't heard about him in several years until he showed up to do more acting on 2 different TV series when he got older but I didn't watching them. When Ricky reappeared on TV, I was shocked to see how changing he looks. Wow! Ricky is still looking handsome. And I found out he's married and have 4 beautiful children. I watched an interview with Ricky by TODAY Show reporter on TV with a closed-caption this morning. Ricky was discussing another movie on TV. That TV movie will be aired on Sunday night, January 27th on ION channel at 9 pm Eastern Time. It's called "Journey to the Center of the Earth". Don't forget if u wants to watch it. January 21, 2008: Dr. Phil's Statement About His Visit With Britney Spears

Last Monday night, I watched Dr. Phil Show on TV. As I was watching his show, Dr. Phil made a statement about visiting Britney Spears at the hospital before she was discharged from there few weeks ago if u missed watching it that Monday evening. The mother, Lynn, asked Dr. Phil to come over for discussing mental problems with Britney Spears. Lynn had been friends with his wife, Robin for almost 2 years but now, not anymore. Dr. Phil is not apologizing the Spears Family for trying to help them or Britney in trouble. See a link of his truth statement below:

IMO, Lynn Spears is not doing enough to work on personal issues with her daughter much cuz she ignored warning signs. Working on these issues with them comes first but these are too late. I heard Lynn is planned to write a book about parental tips but cancelled it right away when she learned her teenage daughter is pregnant. The Spears Family is screwing up their life real bad. Terrible. Lynn Spears should learn the hard lessons if she forgot them.

Oliver!

Have any of you seen the 1968 musical movie, "Oliver!"? That was a year before I was born. I didn't know this movie was a success. I also didn't know an Oscar went to this successful movie, "Oliver!", for Best Picture at 1969 Academy Award show. I was a baby girl at that time. This movie is referring to a book title, "Oliver Twist" by Charles Dickens, adults' and children's book author. It is the story about a little boy named Oliver Twist played by Mark Lester. Oliver was an orphan since his birth and his mother's death in childbirth. There are more details to tell a story about this angel boy but I can't tell you, bloggers. You will find out about this movie when you rent it from either library or Blockbuster. I love listening to this excellent musical movie.

Great Expectations Movie

This song, "If God Could Talk", is by Meat Loaf and film was made in 1998. Ethan Hawke, Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert De Niro starred in this wonderful movie. I love it very much. Awwww. It's one of my favorite movies all the time. It's a story about a boy and a girl who were almost childhood sweethearts introduced by the richest lady. I wish there would be more discussing this movie here but I can't give you a lengthy detail. You will find out about it interestingly. I am recommending that you should see this great love story movie.

Charles Dickens

I just finished reading this book this early afternoon. As I was reading this book, I figured deaf people don't understand this information if they are not educated themselves fully because they could be very confusing and an educated author who lives in California had probably experienced an excellent English skills in her college background. However, I did not read Dickens' books as a young girl but I saw movies by 3 of his several books, "Oliver!", "Great Expectations", and "A Christmas Carol", on TV. I wanted to know who Charles Dickens was. I have heard about him. Charles Dickens, according from this book, had a double secret life in his personal life and his sad childhood years but I can't give you more details about his personal background. You will be astonishing to find out about Dickens in there. The other thing is that Dickens' behavior during his writing career sounds medium. I thought he was friendly to people he knew. This book sounds excellent professionally. If you don't know who Charles Dickens is and haven't reading his famous books, I am recommending that you should read this bio book.

Diana: Her True Story

That 1992 biography book is telling you the truth. Morton did have a wonderful job by doing a research on Princess Diana. My reaction to that book is startled. Diana had so much suffering with her metal and health issues during her marriage to Prince Charles. Charles was supposed to be loving her but otherwise, she divorced him 4 years later. Sadly, 5 years after this book came out, Princess Diana was killed in a car accident in Paris.

If Princess Diana is still alive today, I would like to meet her if she comes to America on her official trip and can teach her how to use a sign language. Also, I would like to be taken a picture of Diana and me together. But it's too late.

Wesley Snipes on the Tax Evasion Trial in Ocala, Florida

Have u heard of a movie star named Wesley Snipes? Well, Wesley Snipes got in a trouble for not paying taxes. He's going to a court now in Ocala, an hour drive west of my hometown, Ormond Beach. Snipes grew up in Florida and has a home there. Attorneys for Snipes were tried to move the trail cuz Snipes thinks residents in Ocala are a racist but later on the judge ordered the Snipes Trail to stay at the court there. Raciats? No, I don't think so. Snipes must be very confusing by law of Florida cuz it changed several kinds of law alot since the Civil War. Otherwise, I do recall I heard the police was looking for him but can't find him almost 2 years ago. Finally, the police found where Snipes is located. Believe in it or not. I don't know about an author, Andrew Morton, is telling us readers the truth on his new book. I've read 9 pages of an exclusive excerpt from a book by Andrew Morton about Tom Cruise in the website of "TODAY Show" this morning and afternoon. Whoa, I kept reading and reading with my jaw dropping and mouth opening and wide eyes until I decided to take a break from this computer few times. Few hours before I read the first page of an excerpt, I watched Meredith Vieira's interview with Andrew Morton. An interview between Meredith and Andrew confused me. Andrew sounds like he's speaking out about Tom Cruise. Have Tom Cruise been brainwashing by his famous church? I am somewhat guessing so. I wish someone will pull Tom and his family out of that strict church immediately cuz that church is so weird and dangerous. I have heard about this big place on the news.
