Last late Saturday afternoon at my parents' house, Mom and I watched a DVD movie together. It was called "
Little Manhattan". It's a story about a boy, 10, who is in love with a beautiful girl, 11, very much. He has thoughts of her alot. I think he was about maturing but wasn't ready to be. He didn't know what to do with that girl. That girl is very smart. Both boy and girl could become a soon-to-be childhood sweethearts. It happened during late Spring. From now on, I can't give u more details but u will find out what's going on in that DVD. This movie reminds me of "
A Little Romance", a 1979 film. Have u seen this 1979 film? That 1979 movie is a favorite of my hubby. I saw it on TV few times, not much, but it have no captions and I missed seeing parts of it. I remember years ago I purchased a movie tape, "
A Little Romance", for my hubby as his Christmas present. It was my idea. I sent it to him with a receipt in the mail in case he didn't want to but I noticed there's no logo of "
CC", meaning a closed-caption for deaf viewers. Later on he informed me he have to take it back with a receipt cuz that movie have CC. I already knew it. I tried my best to make my hubby happy. Someday, I hope I will purchase this DVD movie with CC for my hubby. I am recommanding this 2005 movie to u bloggers cuz it's very good and I love it.
Anyways, as I was watching that 2005 DVD movie, I am recalling I wasn't maturing enough to understand what's going on in the world when I was their age. I played with toys. I stayed home the most of time due to a disability. I had nothing to do during summer but I did go on an August vacation with my family in Texas where my father had a business. David was a baby at that time. I didn't know anything about boys until I got older.
Personally, Manhattan is where my father was born but grew up in Washington, D.C. and then later in Daytona Beach, Florida.
We've really enjoyed this movie at our house. Very cute.
