Picture Perfect Friday: Roadside

Suey posted to discuss Picture Perfect Friday:  Roadside.  I had an idea about the subject this afternoon.

This photo was taken by me being a passenger in my then fiance's rental car in July 1997.  We were on a summer vacation there at the time my grandfather was very ill.  We were driving on Mosquito Valley Road in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, where some of my relatives live on the same road.  We drove toward north to the valley and then to neighborhood area where many houses and stores and few restuarants are in.  Few miles east of Mosquito Valley Road is where Little League World Series in South Williamsport located.

Mosquito Valley Road is a quiet place and beautiful.  It looks like a rural to me.  I grew up in there for many years but my parents have had a house far away from this road.  We lived on a different street in another district in that same city.

My Heart Will Go On By Celine Dion from "Titanic"

Here is a lyric by Celine Dion for all of deaf and hearing viewers. Enjoy! I love her song very much. She's terrific! It's one of my favorite songs all the time. Awwww!

Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you,
That is how I know you go on

Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And youre here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go till were gone

Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life well always go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And youre here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Youre here, theres nothing I fear,
And I know that my heart will go on
Well stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

I'll Be There (2003 Film)

Rating:★★★★
Category:Movies
Genre: Comedy
I watched this DVD movie, "I'll Be There" last night. Charlotte Church starred in it for playing a teenage girl who loves sings very much that her mother have no idea. Have u heard about Charlotte Church? I do little bit. I heard about her on U.S. TV media when she was 12, I guess. Charlotte sings beautifully. She's wonderful. Her voice sounds soft. The Scottish rock star played by Craig Ferguson who directed this movie did not know Olivia played by Charlotte is his daughter. That rock star was in full of surprises unexpectedly. He's funny. I've discovered Imelda Staunton who played Harry Potter's strictest school teacher who hates children is in that movie. I was surprised to see her in it when I recognized her. She played the rock star's therapist at the hospital. Imelda also starred in "Much Ado About Nothing" and "Sense and Sensibility". Did u see Imelda was in those movies? I didn't recongizing her name in those several years ago but until the 5th Harry Potter movie. I didn't know about who Imedla is cuz she's a British actress. Anyways, I like this British movie. It's okay but funny. I enjoyed watching it. Can Olivia make it to Royal Academy of Music in London? U will have to find out about it and what's the reaction of Olivia's Mother when she heard Olivia's singing there. My lips are zipped about it. LOL!

TV Miniseries Movie, "The Andromeda Strain"

Did anyone watch 2008 TV miniseries movie, "The Andromeda Strain" last night?  It was on A&E channel.  Benjamin Bratt and Ricky Schroder starred in it.  I did.  Whoa!  I am going to watch it again tonight for a conclusion, a final part 2.

This is a remake of an original movie in 1971 that starred in by Arthur Hill and David Wayne (I never heard of them when I was a baby).  I watched that 1971 film on TV movie with a CC years ago.  Wow.

Also, the 1969 book written by Michael Crichton made into it.  I haven't read all of Michael Crichton's books cuz I do not like thriller or horror stuff, u know, but I did see some of movies by his books.  See a picture of Crichton's book below:

My TV Cable. Memorial Day

My TV Cable

I didn't get online last Saturday morning cuz the green light on cable in the black box was not working as I was about to turn programs on in my computer after 7:30 am.  Also, some of my TV channels looked like snowy and sometimes blue and no CC.  Then I immediately called the TV cable company in my hometown on TTY.  I can't using VRS cuz it's connecting to the black box.  I know that wouldn't work.  As I was talking to the lady who works at a TV cable company on TTY, I asked for Saturday schedule but she said Sunday.  She can't guarantee that Saturday cuz so many techs are working with other customers on that same day.  I said okay.  Later that Saturday morning, some of TV channels were getting a clear with CC.  They looked a okay to me.  No tech showed up that Saturday but Dad informed the tech would come on Sunday when he came over again.  Watched TV programs and movies all day were boring to me.  I had no weekend plans.  The next day, Sunday, a tech from TV cable company showed up late cuz he got a wrong address.  I was informed that from Mom thru an interperter on a VP since Sunday morning that I've discovered the green light on cable kept coming back.  I was surprised but I had to keep an eye on the green light if it disappears again.  Anyways, the tech did show up that afternoon.  I discovered a tech knows how to do a sign language but he said he's slow learning it.  Thank God.  That's what I needed.  Dad came over after tech did.  The tech inspected the black box and discovered the signal is so low.  What?  I had no idea.  Before that, I tried repairing the cord to replug the black box several times but I am tired of it.  The tech said the signal is coming from outside my apt.  He replaced old cords with a new ones.  I thanked him for repairing it.  And then he left.  It's working now but this morning there's no green light on cable again.  I fixed it before I turned programs on in my computer.

Memorial Day

My holiday plans yesterday was lacking.  I was supposed going to a park at the beach and have a picnic there but Dad changed his mind when we found out the battery in his car went dead that morning.  It happened outside my apt as Dad was about leaving there.  Dad was upset.  Dad planned to do a speech for Memorial Day at the ceremony that late morning.  He did it successfully when David took him there.  I stay home all day.  I felt so boring.  I ate a hot dog that my mother brought to me from her home but it's okay.  I can tell that those came from a health food store.  I wanted regular ones.  I did go to that park last year while my mother was in PA.  I had a wonderful time there.  I really wanted to go back there so bad and enjoy the beach activity.  Pretty soon, I will go back there.  I can't wait.

Yahoo News: HBO's `Recount' Captures Emotion of 2000 Florida Election

This is Kevin Spacey and Laura Dern at HBO Premiere.

This late afternoon, I came across to check out Yahoo News and found out about the HBO movie, "Recount", remember 2000 Flordia Election?  I've heard of this HBO movie few days before.  Kevin Spacey and Laura Dern starred in it.  I really wanted to see it on TV cable but I don't have HBO cuz it will give u an extra cost of TV cable.  In the future, I will rent it at Blockbuster or borrow it from a library.  Anyways, I am recommending this HBO movie to u cuz u will may find out what's going on inside Florida.

As I am recalling almost 8 years ago, Florida Election got a huge problem.  On that Election night, I noticed 2 different colors, red and blue, in the state of Florida on TV CBS special news, kept changing repeatly while I was talking with my mother-in-law on my TTY in a different apt.  Dan Rather, a TV news anchorman back then, declared Florida got a problem.  I had no problems with voting ballot on the day of Election but the next day I was flabbergasted to find out on TV news.  Dad and I were staring and questioning each other about it when he came over to my place that morning.  It was awful.  I blogged about the 2000 Florida Election in Yahoo 360 2 years ago.

Gore and Bush looked very serious about what happened to their election.

Remember this guy staring real hard at reading the hanging chad?

Here is an online article from Yahoo news about this great movie:

HBO's `Recount' captures emotion of 2000 Fla. election

By BRENDAN FARRINGTON, Associated Press WriterThu May 22, 2:15 PM ET

Political operatives who were involved in the most dramatic election of our lifetimes say HBO's "Recount" brings back the intensity.

Not all the details are perfect in the made-for-TV movie that condenses the 36 days it took to decide the 2000 presidential election into two hours, and Republicans aren't thrilled that their opponents come across as the film's heroes, but the consensus is the filmmakers summed up the spirit of the events that had the world on edge.

"Maybe it was little bit like somebody who was at Pearl Harbor watching a movie about Pearl Harbor," said Mac Stipanovich, a Republican lobbyist who advised then Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris during the recount.

Mitchell Berger, a lawyer on then Vice President Al Gore's team, had a similar reaction.

"I was there 35 days and there were moments that were kind of hard to watch again," Berger said immediately after the lights came up at a "Recount" premiere in Jacksonville. (The film will be broadcast 9 p.m. EDT Sunday on HBO.)

Still, he had praise for the movie as he stopped to talk to director Jay Roach on the way out of the Florida Theatre, saying: "It's a fabulous synopsis. I think you captured the essence."

The audience at the Florida premiere sometimes laughed at dramatic times, not because the scenes were funny, but because they were immediately recognizable.

"I could feel the anxiety in a weird way that I sort of always hoped the film would create," Roach said. "It was a dysfunctional process. It did go off the rails, and people should feel upset by that."

The movie largely takes the viewpoint of Ron Klain, a former Gore chief of staff who represented him in Tallahassee during the recount.

It captures most of the twists and turns of the disputed election, beginning with Palm Beach County's butterfly ballot, which was blamed for people mistakenly voting for third-party candidate Pat Buchanan instead of Gore, and ending with the U.S. Supreme Court decision to stop the recount — resulting in George W. Bush's 537-vote Florida victory over Gore.

It uses actual news footage showing networks calling the election for Gore, then later for Bush and ultimately as too close to call. It also sums up court cases, behind-the-scenes strategy, debates on whether hanging and dimpled chads could be counted as votes and Democrats' efforts to buy more time to examine ballots as Harris certified the election for Bush.

Roach acknowledged that filmmakers chose the side of the underdog, but said they also did their best to fairly portray the Republican perspective. Screenwriter Danny Strong did dozens of interviews with people on both sides. He also reviewed books, news stories and court documents.

"By staying as close to the truth as we possibly could, it remains a very, very compelling story. You almost couldn't make it up to be more suspenseful," Roach said. "It just got more intense and more surreal as it went on. It just didn't seem possible you could go that long without knowing who won that election."

As could be expected in an effort to recreate history that was outside the public eye, some liberties were taken.

Former House Speaker Tom Feeney said he did not meet with Republican lawyers to discuss a plan to have the Legislature name the state's electors for Bush. And even if he had, the filmmakers had his choice of drink wrong, he said.

"They had me pouring a bourbon instead of a Budweiser," Feeney joked.

"The notion that there was a conspiracy between me and the Bush campaign, that's one of the short cuts they made," Feeney, now a congressman, said more seriously.

And while she hasn't seen the movie, Harris took exception with her portrayal as it was described to her. Actress Laura Dern largely portrays her as ditzy and self-centered. In one scene, former Secretary of State James Baker watches Harris' first news conference after the election and says: "This woman is hopeless. We're going to need some help on this."

That's when Stipanovich is called to advise her. The film shows Stipanovich and then-Division of Elections Director Clay Roberts telling Harris what she should do. Harris said Stipanovich was never with her when she and her legal team made final decisions, but only helped her write some press statements.

"For the last seven and one-half years, I have done all I can to explain my decisions, which were fair and just while following the letter of the law," Harris wrote in an e-mail. "While it is not pleasant being lied about, mocked, or having this film's comic book caricature presented as who I am, I am at peace — knowing before my God, my friends, and my family that I acted with honor and integrity."

Craig Waters, the Florida Supreme Court spokesman who emerged before the circus scene in front of the court to give updates, found both reality and some exaggeration during the film.

When Waters first saw an actor step out on the steps where he made his announcements to the world nearly eight years earlier, he smiled and said, "That's the actual podium. We found it in the basement." A few seconds later, as the actor speaks, Waters adds with a serious expression, "I never said that." He goes further to explain the dialogue was in the court opinion, but not in his statement.

Watching alongside Waters, lawyer Mark Herron was able to predict one scene. The actor portraying him was on a conference call with Gore running mate Joe Lieberman and telling him military ballots received after the election could be counted if they didn't have a postmark, but not if they weren't dated and didn't have a witness signature proving they were filled out before the election.

The voice of Lieberman in the film seemed to understand, and the Gore team appeared relieved.

"Then came 'Meet the Press,'" the real Herron said. A split second later, the film cut to Lieberman on the Sunday morning talk show arguing that all military ballots should be counted regardless of how they were filled out, a position that hurt his own campaign.

The cursing that followed in "Recount" wasn't just real, it was understated, Herron said.

"That little scene with Lieberman? You heard somebody scream out some profanity there? They only captured part of it," Herron said.

My Weekend Activities

I had a fun weekend.  I went out three times last Sat.

First that Sat morning, I went back to Starbucks for ordering my breakfast and enjoyed the outside.  I needed taking a break from cooking breakfast at home.  I ordered a cappuccino with 2 different flavors, hazel and vanilla, and a whipped cream.  For breakfast, I ate raspberry scone.  It was good.  I had trouble choosing what I wanted for my breakfast cuz those pantries on the shelves inside the glass are very good and delicious.  LOL!  And then I went outside and enjoyed the weather.  The weather looked good and was about getting warmest.  I stayed there for one hour.

I went to the library afterwards.  When I arrived there, I noticed the library is transformed into a remodel.  The carpet there looks so beautiful, like palm trees everywhere or the color of an ocean.  A DVDs section has been moved to another place.  New computers have been added.  New colors of furniture.  Wow!  My jaws were dropped when I saw it.  I've borrowed 5 DVD movies and 3 books from there.  Thank God, I grabbed the great movie I've ever heard, "Atonement", before anyone can.  I really wanted to see that movie so bad.  I haven't watching it yet but I will when I have time.  One of 5 DVD movies is Year Five, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoniex".  I've watched it last Sat night.  Whoa, that was so good!  About the 3 books, 2 are that I would have to purchase but have no cash.  I've asked a librarian if the library accepts a check.  She replied yes.  Great!  I am relieved.  Those 2 books are "The Mermaid Chair" by Sue Monk Kidd and "Memoirs of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden.  One of 3 books is that I have to borrow from there, "The Map of Love" by Ahdaf Soueif.  I am glad I can afford 2 books than at the big bookstore in Daytona Beach.  I haven't paying those 2 great books yet cuz I was told a librarian put the price into the library record of my library card in the computer if I have no cash so I will pay later.  I saw Mom at the customer service.  I guess it's her turn to pick me up from the library.  I went outside the building and enjoyed it while I looked at Halifax River and was waiting for Mom.  I was hoping Mom would spot me there but didn't.  She was looking for me all over inside.  I thought she should know better.  Several minutes later, I went back inside to look for Mom.  She found me.  Mom informed me she had to take a walk outside for 30 minutes.  It's her exercise route.  Okay I said so I waited for her.  Mom took me back to my place when she returned to the library to pick me up.

Mother dropped me off at my place after the library that afternoon.  She cleaned my apt for me while I ate my lunch.  Mom asked me if I want to go to Wal-Mart with her.  I said yes!  Cuz I needed to buy more food and I would give Dad a break in the Sunday morning that he could take me there.  So did Mom take me instead.

At Wal-Mart, I purchased a plastic shopping bag holder & dispenser called "Sacsoc" and another shower cap and more food.  About Sacsoc, I have so many plastic shopping bags at home.  They made a mess in front of the closet in the living room of my apt so I've decided wanting to buy this holder.  I put those bags into a holder last Sat night while I watched the DVD movie.  I am recommending this neat holder to u cuz u don't have worrying about a mess of several plastic shopping bags at ur home.  The design of this holder looks the fabric of palm trees.  Cute.  I like the holder cuz I love palm trees very much and am living in Florida.  LOL!  The holder is now hanging onto the knob of the closet.  See a picture of Sacsoc below if u don't know what it looks alike:

That's it for now.

A Burglary At My Neighbor's Apt

I can't sleep last night after I talked to police.  I was concerning about my possessions.  As I was about going to bed, there was a knock at my door unexpectedly.  It was the police.  It was after 11 pm.  I told him I'll be right back cuz I was wearing a nightgown so I had to get my robe.  And then I came back to open the door for talking with police.  The policeman asked me if someone is soliciting.  I didn't think so but few seconds later, I recalled a black man with a dark jacket did soliciting as if my memory snapping up.  I was startled.  I replied yes.  The policeman informed me that someone broke into a neighbor's apt, next to mine.  I had no idea what happened.  Then I described the policeman what the black man looks like.  The black man showed up at my door unexpectedly before noon yesterday, few hours before I left my apt for going to a doctor's appt.  Why did he wearing a dark jacket on a hot day?  I didn't understand.  I told him I am deaf and then he left.  Before the black man left, showed me his ID but I can't remember his name.  I didn't understand what he said.  But today, I figured he's trying to ask me for my ID.  OMG!  It made me sensing.  The police asked for my ID.  I videophoned my parents thru an interpreter right away after I spoke with police.  Dad answered it.  I figured he's concerning about me when I told him what happened.  He's going to talk to police in the morning Dad said.  I laughed when Dad said he's more Superman than the police.  After I hung up the videophone, I went to bed but was trying to sleep unsuccessfully.  Thank goodness, God shielded my apt.  I figured it out.  It's like a magic.  When 2 ladies from church came over for a visit this morning, I told them what happened yesterday.  They know ASL.  And then my landlady came over to check out her building.  As I was chatting with these ladies, my landlady told me the woman's computer is stolen.  OMG!  The woman was frustrated.  Her door was unlocked.  That door didn't work.  The landlady informed me I will get a new bolt on my door.  And the woman's door, too.

The locksmith fixed the new bolt to my door this afternoon.  It works.  I still have the same key to match it.  The locksmith cleaned up things on the floor in front of door when he finished repairing up it.

I was not feeling well the morning after the situation with police.  I felt tired little bit but my energy is okay.

Either of my parents did not showing up at my place today.  I am disappointed.  I just found out Dad was not feeling well this morning after he talked to the police.  Mom said they understood.  Mom is very busy at home.  I wanted her to come over for setting up a shower curtain in my bathroom right away.  She had to wash and clean it for me since Mom took them down again yesterday.  I didn't know that.

Picture Perfect Friday: Summertime Fun

Summertime Fun...  Suey posted discussing summertime fun a picture perfect.  I have great summer memories.  I will never forget them.  Here are my summer photos:

As u can see a picture of 7 yrs old girl in the wheelchair (that's me) along with her 2 of 3 brothers, Joe and Mike, this photo was taken on August 5, 1976 in Washington, D.C.  We were having a summer fun on our vacation.  We kept going there in 3 yrs a row until things were changed in my family's life.  We were visiting Dad's family there.  I was enjoyed eating an ice cream and waving a left hand at Dad (LOL).  I looked cute.  The outfit I wore that day was made by my mother.  Otherwise, the 4th of us, David, was not ready to come into the world yet until 3 yrs later.  David have no idea what's going on in there.

Chicken, the Mascot of San Diego Padres, and me in the wheelchair.  This was taken by a Grit Sport Section newspaper photographer at famous Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on August 28, 1977.  Williamsport is where I grew up cuz my mother's family lives in.  About this picture, I was having fun at the baseball game and giggled at the Mascot.  LOL!  I had no idea until I saw this picture when I got older.  I probably got back from a trip to Washington, D.C. with Dad and brothers, Joe and Mike, few weeks before, I guess.  Many young baseball players keep coming to Williamsport every August for playing a World Series from all over the world.

This was taken at Bethune Park in New Smyrna Beach on 4th of July 2006.  Deaf people

celebrated that day and played there.  It was hosted by a deaf club officials.  We were having a fun until that late night.  The weather looked hot and sunny all day, no rain.  That's good news for firework viewers.  Several hours before this photo was taken by me, I watched the lanuch of Space Shuttle, Discovery, going up over Daytona Beach area from inside the truck of my deaf friend's hubby, Chuck, at another park.  Wow!  I swear what I saw!  I wish I could take a picture of space shuttle there but didn't bringing with me.  I felt so stupid for not bringing my camera to shoot it.  I left my camera on the chair at a deaf couple's house.  Anyways, I enjoyed watching Discovery flying up into outer space and, disappearing!  I will never forget that special summer day.

Wal-Mart. Florida Wildfires.

Last Thursday morning, I went to Wal-Mart.  When I arrived there, I had to eat breakfast at McDonald's and then went on continuing to do shopping.  I bought a pair of beach shoes.  Those look cute and very coloful, mixing pink and white altogether.  Another item I bought is a shower wrap.  I mean a robe.  I found that only one along with different others on the rack in women's department.  It has a pink with a green palm tree on it.  Cute.  I didn't have one in years.  And bought more food.

I went to the library in Port Orange last Saturday afternoon.  I borrowed 6 DVD movies from there.

I stay home on Mother's Day.  That morning, I wasn't feeling well but later on I got better.  I called Mother thru a VRS (Video Relay Service), signing "Happy Mother's Day" to her thru an interpreter.

U are probably hearing about wildfires in Florida on a national TV news today.  Florida residents are still fighting it.  It started in another county, south of our county yesterday.  We think arsonists are on the blame.  Our county was next.  Wildfires are located southwest from my hometown in our county.  I don't smell a smoke yet.  We are safe far away from there now.  Lucky for us.  The wind kept blowing southwest from northeast.  I think the wind will going to be died down tonight, hopefully.  In another county, 12 homes were lost to a wildfire since this afternoon.  There will may be more than 12 of them currently but I don't know.  Firefighters are exhausting but working hard to fight them off.  People need a rain seriously.  Parts of highway I-95 are closed near Melbourne.  Governor Crist declares state of emergency.  Personally, I am concerning about my oldest brother, Joe, who lives in Merritt Island, east of where wildfires are located, for his safety and his health.

I am Tagged by Suey About School Memories

Go to kindergarten?  I didn't know this word when I entered an elementary school in the Fall of 1976.  I didn't understand what grade I was in.  I was in the special education classroom with deaf kids.

Graduate from high school?  Yes, I did make it successfully.  See a picture of Mr. S, a
high school prinicpal, handed me a diploma at a graduation ceremony on the right.  This was taken by a professional photographer.  I could hear there was an applaud that was coming from my class and an audience as I was walking toward to meet Mr. S.  I will never forget that event.

Go to college?  Yes, I graduated with a major in Fashion Marketing Management.

Get straight A's in school?  Yes, I think so.

Go to prom?  Yes, I did.  I went to Junior and Senior Proms.  At my Junior Prom, I dated my brother, Joe, cuz I didn't have anyone at my high school.  I also wore my mother's college prom dress.  I invited my then boyfriend, Todd, to my Senior Prom.

Take part in extracurriculars?  I did play a violin in an elementary school.  Some clubs:  Big Brothers & Sisters Program at FSD in St. Augustine; and Sub-Debs, Society of Excellence, and Showstoppers at Seabreeze.

Play any sports?  I am not a sport fan.

Graduate in the top ten of your class?  I don't think so.  I was in the #70 as if I am
trying to recall, along with 360 graduates.  According to this newspaper picture on the right, u can't see me on the stage far.  I wore a red gown.  It was right before we headed to our project graduation party at the hotel that night.  A hotel is across the road from Ocean Center on the beachside.  We stayed there celebrating all night till morning.

Miss a lot of school?  Yes, 7 months cuz I had between 3 hip surgeries and was sick few times at an elementary school and middle school in PA.  Few times I was sick during high school years.

Have a favorite teacher?  Yes, a few.  A special education teacher with sign lanugage at an elementary school in Modesto, CA cuz she taught me how to handwriting when she noticed my handwriting looked scrambling and made me learning new things in school.  A history teacher at FSD in St. Augustine during my freshmen year.  A special education with no sign language at Seabreeze.

Go to football games?  Not much.  Attended there at FSD few times including homecoming game.  Few times at Seabreeze, regluar and homecoming games.

Enjoy pep rallies?  Yes, I did.  Took a place in an auditorium at FSD; in the gym at Seabreeze.

Know what you wanted to be when you grew up?  I didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up when I was in high school but thought about becoming a future restaurant manager.  Otherwise, my grades at college were failed so I've changed a different major, Fashion Marketing Management, a year later.

Pack your lunch or buy?  Both since elementary school days.

Like gym class?  Kind of.

Have a bunch of friends in school?  Yes, some at elementary and middle schools in PA.  Some at middle school in Texas.  Some in high school at FSD and Seabreeze.

Fit into a clique like jock, stoner, geek, etc?  With a good group.  A different from other kinds of groups at Seabreeze cuz I was the only one multihandicapped in there.

Have a nickname in school?  No, but most hearing and deaf kids call me "Kitty" by nickname since birth and after my mother's aunt.

Get picked on in school?  Yes, by hearing and deaf kids.

Have a favorite subject?  English and History.

Have a least favorite subject?  A math and gym.

Go to graduation?  Yes, I was sitting in the chair next to a class Co-Valedictorian on the stage and was waiting for my turn to receive a diploma from a high school prinicpal.

Have a crush on anyone in school?  Yes, I had a crush on Todd who was then a junior at FSD cuz he looked so cute and athletic.  I watched him jogging almost every afternoon after school.  Another crush I had on when I entered a sophomore year at Seabreeze was a senior guy named Brett.  He looked so handsome and was so nice to me.  He was also a homecoming king.  I did introducing Brett to my father at homecoming dance.  I did not tell Todd about Brett much.

Go To Any Class Reunions?  Yes, I did.  I went to a 5th reunion while I was in college; and a 10th one during married to Todd.  I invited him there.  I was alone in riding a scooter attended 100th high school class reunion at SHS on April 26, 2008.  Maybe there will be 20th anniversary next year.  Wait and see what it will happen.

May 7, 2008 8:30 am:  P.S.    About homecoming king, Brett, I received a congratulation card from him in the mail.  It was handed to me by Mr. J. when I was about picking up my real diploma at SHS right after I graduated.  I was surprised.  I didn't know that!  I guess Brett found out a newspaper article about me a month before.  How nice of him!

Food and Clothes Shoppings. Repairs Hearing Aids and A Toilet

I went to Wal-Mart last Thursday afternoon.  I've had my digital photos developing on the computer in the photo department.  I noticed that computer looks a brand-new and little bit different than the old ones.  The old ones were not working cuz those were in a bad shape.  Cool.  Photos of my living room and new Sorenson VP 200 and SHS reunion were all looked great expect a picture of me in a scooter at SHS reunion.  In that picture, my face looks like a half.  Oh, no!  I am going to fix it soon.  I do recall that my father was having trouble seeing a video picture in the back of my digital camera cuz the sun blocked him from looking at it as he was about taking a picture of me.  Dad should have moved that camera up little bit with his hands.  After I finished developing those digital photos, I went on to do a food shopping.  Later, I went over to McDonald's for ordering my supper after I finished shopping.  I was starved.  I realized that during a shopping.  I knew I don't have time to bake a supper at home.  I ordered a medium sprite, a cheeseburger, a small bag of french fries.  I felt better.  And then I went home when Dad came back to pick me up.

Yesterday morning, I went to see a hearing aids specialist in Daytona Beach.  Julie, a specialist, checked both of my hearing aids.  The problem I was having with was about my right hearing aid.  I can't hear and understand what people are saying well cuz the volume was so low and my hearing aid is old.  Julie fixed it for me.  She's so good and sweet.  I am trying to recall what Mom and Julie are saying about it but I think they said they figured out an antibiotic healed all over my chest and stomach, and effected my ear due to an illness.  Julie found out I was sick last year.  After finished visiting a hearing aid specialist, Mom wanted stopping by the store.  And then headed to the beachside for shopping at Bealls.

Bealls is where tourists spend shopping and across the road from hotel.  It surrounds with other stores in the shopping plaza.  At Bealls on the beachside that late Monday morning, I looked around to find something that interesting me.  I kept looking around until I finally found the right tank tops with no sleeves.  Colors of those summer tank tops with no sleeves are green with designed flowers and lavendar.  I felt they are comfortable to wear.  Before them, I tried other tube tops on in the fitting room but I don't like them.  Tupe tops have no strips.  I could see something in the mirror but I can't tell u what it is.  I've decided I want to buy 2 tank tops instead.  And then I was done shopping.  It's time for me to find Mom.  She was looking for me.  Then we left the store.  On the way to Mom's bank in Ormond Beach, we noticed there's a new restuarant named Lulu's.  Hmmm, sounds delicious.  I would like try to eat there one day.  Mom stopped by bank to get a cash.  And then Mom dropped me off at my apt.  I felt better by going shopping at Bealls.  I had fun there.  I haven't buying new clothes much cuz paying bills and food comes first.  Those are hard on me.

I finally got the toilet repaired in my bathroom this morning.  The flasher works.  Thanks to plumbers.  One of plumbers fixed it for between 5 minutes and 10 minutes.  Wow!  That's fast.
