July 4th Party In St. Augustine

I had a blast last Friday.  I enjoyed the holiday all day.  I felt better when I got out of my apt.  Here is my blog:

I woke up that early morning and realized it's a 4th of July.  I said, "Happy Birthday, America!"  Few hours before my friends showed up at my door, I ate small breakfast.  My breakfast was a yogurt and later on coffee.  I felt yogurt comforting my belly gently.  Yogurt works, u know.  The reason I ate a small breakfast is that I would be eating alot of food at our friends' house.  The hubby of one of my deaf friends, Chuck, came over to pick me up on time, almost 10:30 am.  I had everything packed ready to go.  I turned off the computer immediately and closed the blind on windows.  When my hearing/interpreter friend, Nova, came over and asked to use my water as she's carried few empty bottles.  I replied yes.  I allowed her to use it whatever.  I didn't know how sick Nova was.  I didn't figure it out until 10 minutes later when I found out about Nova.  Chuck, Amy, and Billy who has a mental retardation and is deaf since birth, were riding in Chuck's new gold Ford truck.  I went into Nova's car.  My stuff and wheelchair are in Chuck's truck but the cake I bought recently in Nova's car.  When I got into Nova's car, she told me how sick she was.  Her breakfast was fine but Nova vomitted afterwards.  She didn't understand why.  Poor Nova.  About 10-15 minutes later into driving on the road, north U.S. 1, Nova announced she's feeling better.  Hmm, I am surprised.  Her recovery from illness is sped up fast.  Wow!  I guess I gave her a magic healing.  LOL!  But I don't know.  As Nova was driving into the city of Palm Coast, we talked and listened to the music.  We were discussed this city, Palm Coast.  It's growing step by step slowly.  We saw forest surrounding the city.  There is a new, long sidewalk and few, new wooden bridges.  No developed houses in sight yet but those will in the future Nova believes.  Otherwise, we stopped by at our deaf friend's house in Bunnell.  Chuck and Amy in truck followed Nova's car as we were arrived at a deaf friend's apt.  She lives in an apt alone but with a cat.  Her name is Mary.  Mary brought her stuff and was sat inside the back of Chuck's truck.  And then we went ahead traveling straight and following Chuck's truck.  As I was looking at Chuck's new Ford truck, I was concerned about my wheelchair cuz it might get hot from the sun.  I can see my wheelchair is upright.  It supposed to be covered up.  We were not thinking about covering it up but our minds forgot about it cuz we were so busy with other things for 4th of July party.

We arrived at our deaf friends' house in St. Augustine.  St. Augustine is 50 miles north of my hometown and the oldest city in the world, 443 years old.  The house of our deaf friends is closer to the bridge.  After my wheelchair unloaded from the truck, I checked it out to make sure if it's not hot.  No, it's not really hot.  Thank God.  I guess the wind made it a cool off as if the truck was still driving on the road.  We greeted and hugged our deaf friends, Ray and Jan, both deaf married couple who own the yellow house with a swimming pool again.

We brought our food there.  Ray and Chuck started grilling hot dogs outside.  Ray and Jan pulled out big metal bowls from their refrigerator in the garage to put them on the counter in their kitchen immediately.  Those bowls are macaroni salad and potato salad.  I ate a macaroni salad.  Yummy!  I was soooo hungry while waited for a hot dog.  Nova and Mary went to Wal-Mart to get food.  They didn't bring anything there before coming to a deaf couple's house.  When the hot dog arrived, it tastes like a honey and very delicious.  Wow!  I felt good when I ate it.  Nova and Mary returned later.  They bought food from Wal-Mart: Sodas, chips, dips and corns.  After I finished eating it, I went to swim in the pool outside with my old bubble.  Ray and Chuck carried me into the swimming pool.  I swam myself and played small balls with friends.  Afterwards, Nova, Mary, and I were chatted as I was sitting in the pool.  Then I've decided I need to get out of the pool.  Chuck helped me out.  I needed to dry up from the sun first.  Billy changed his bathing suit into his clothes right away when he went back inside.  Then I returned inside the house and ate snacks.  I met another friend named Diane and her friend, the boy named Dale whom Diane babysat when he was little.  She's nice.  While I was at the table, I noticed Billy napping in the chair outside.  LOL!  I guess he's so tired after all.  When Billy was in the swimming pool, he played and went wild like a little boy.  He was excited.

All of us were chatted at the dining table.  We were discussed the new TV reality show on ABC Thursday nights, "Hopkins", TV sets, and business patents.  Hopkins is the name of famous hospital after a philanthropist, Johns Hopkins, in Bailtmore, Maryland.  That hospital is where I had taken tests as a baby girl and 40 miles west of my birth place.  Doctors diagnosed me a congential rubella symdrome there.  Mary watched that show.  Me too.  Wow, that famous hospital is so big when it comes to air on.  It has 6 parts documentary through out July.  Amy told me Billy wanting to go home.  He always complains.  Oh, we found out Billy is planned to watch a baseball game on TV at 8 pm.  And then Ray asked us how many hamburgers we want to eat.  I repiled one is enough and I wanted a cheese within it.  I almost ate it but I felt I am about full cuz I ate snacks between meals that afternoon so I didn't want it.

Afterwards, I went into the jacuzzi outside before the sky was about getting dark.  I swam little bit with my bubble on.  I wanted to swim again cuz the temperature outside might be dropping little bit and I would feel cold.  And several minutes later, I wanted out right away.  Burrr, I felt cold when I got out.  I covered up with beach towels and waited for warm up by sun.  When I felt the warm relaxing me, I took towels off and then went back inside the house.  When I returned in there, I had to change my bathing suit into my summer outfit.

After I changed in the bathroom, I planned wanting to eat a slice of cake.  That cake is so good.  And minutes later I went outside again.  Heard fireworks in the backyard with a pair of my hearing aids on.  I didn't wear hearing aids all afternoon until that evening when I went into a change.  I felt a quiet without hearing any kinds of noise.  I saw some of them in the air.  And then I went back inside again.  Later, some of us watched fireworks on TV that night.  Beautiful fireworks.  Ate snacks again.  It's time for us go home.  We left the deaf couple's house after 10 pm.  I rode in a gold truck with Chuck, Amy, and Billy.  Nova is taking Mary back home in Bunnell.  On the way back to home, I saw some fireworks elsewhere.  I returned home after 11 pm.

I will post slideshow about this party tomorrow.  I promise.
