DVD Movie: "The Painted Veil"

I watched DVD movie, "The Painted Veil" last Tuesday night. It was good. This is a remake. This original movie was in 1934 that Greta Garbo and Herbert Marshall starred in. And this movie was made by a book. It was written by W. Somerset Maugham. I never heard of this author long before my time until I found out about Maugham who wrote it when I went to the website of Wikipedia recently. It's about a couple who moved to Shanghai, China, from their home city, London. They travelled far to a very small town for helping Chinese people who were very illness due to a cholera after a husband found out about his wife's secret but I can't give u details.
