Parents' House. Shopping. My 4th of July Plans.

I went to my parents' house yesterday afternoon.  I had a dinner with them.  I ate crab, mashed potato and peas and a drink, soda.  After that, I ate a dessert, a slice of peach pie and an ice cream.  And then listened to a music of Melody's harp in another room.  Mom and I left the house for going to shopping after I finished listening to a music.
For going to shopping, first stop at Wal-Mart to get a cash from the money center and then to get 3 boxes of Kleenex tissues and a package of cream horns (it's for breakfast).  Mom and I went to Sports Authority in Daytona Beach afterwards.  That's the name of sports shop next to The Best Buy and Barnes & Noble Bookstore.  At Sports Authority, I was looking for a new swim item that I can't live without.  My old bubble is worn out since I got it when I was 7.  I discovered my old bubble still sitting on the shelf in the garage of my parents' house.  Anyways, Mom and I were having a disagreement about the special vest.  I don't like a special vest cuz it's too much to cover my chest up.  I like a small thing better cuz it makes me a comfortable to wear.  I chose 2 other items that I like instead.  Those are pink neon frost tube and big dipper noodle.  I decided to buy them.  The reason I had to buy those swim items is I am bringing them to a swimming pool at deaf friends' house in St. Augustine on the 4th of July so I can have fun in the pool.

As I am mentioning the 4th of July above, yes, I have 4th of July plans.  I am excited.  A hearing friend/interpreter, Nova, said yes and will pick me up at my place the other deaf friend, Amy, told me thru a videophone from her work when she called me at 10:13 am today, 10 minutes later after I sent e-mailing to ask Amy about Nova.  She will let me know what time Nova picks me up on this holiday Friday.  Amy and I were discussing the food and drink.  And then we said goodbye each other.  Do u recall I blogged about the swimming pool party 2 years ago?  Yes, that's the same place I went to.  Twice at the same house of deaf couple.  Last year my 4th of July plans was cancelled.  I was disappointed cuz the hubby of my deaf friend was sick and the weather in her hometown looked not good.  I heard on a local TV news this morning that New Smyrna Beach will have no fireworks due to the city's budget.  I can't believe it when I found out.  It will make residents so disappointing but I think they will go out of town to find where fireworks are going to display this Friday night.

This Monday afternoon, I am going to shopping with Mother.  Will let u know about it tomorrow.  That's why I have to do blogging on time.

Melody's Harp Therapy. The Simpsons TV Ad. Madonna.

I went to Melody's house in Daytona Beach for my harp therapy this late morning.   We were discussed a sign lanuguage when I arrived at her house.  She told me exactly that she learned a sign lanuguage from a girl when she was in 5th grade.  Then I made a suggestion that Melody needs to learn and study ASL book at the library. Before starting a therapy, Melody wanted me to circle negative words on her work sheet.  Those negative words stuck in my mind before the therapy.  Negative words are sad/depressed, lonely, hopeless, and my stress level would be between 2 and 4.  I had to pick which level of sounds is the best and then Melody started to play a harp again for 15 minutes.  During a therapy, I felt the vibes started in my feet.  Then my belly acted up but no pain.  I guess baby food banana probably comforted my bowels.  Something pulled negative words out of my head.  The flow started in the right side of my head.  Wow!  I feel that God made me a happy little bit.  After therapy, I feel happy, not alone, peaceful, and my stress level is zero.  I made a speech that Melody wanted to hear like "Are we there yet?"  Sounds like a very good.  I asked Melody to play a harp, "Happy Birthday" to surprise Mom.  I told Melody Mom's birthday is tomorrow.  I thought planning about it on the way to Melody's house this morning before we arrived there in time for my harp therapy.  Mom thanked me as she was driving a car after we left Melody's house.

I went to the library in Ormond Beach after Mom dropped off a storage plastic bag of spoon and a glass jar of baby food banana at my place this early afternoon.  I had renewed a book and I've borrowed 4 DVD movies there.

LOL, I've heard that children's question on a road trip with their parents during summer before.  Did u know that?  Also on the TV ad cartoon, "The Simpsons".  I laughed when The Simpsons TV ad showed up repeatedly since this past Spring.  It has promoted a new theme park adventure at Universal Orlando Resort.  It opens now and called "The Simpsons Ride".

Did u hear about Madonna's marriage on TV news last night?  I can't believe it.  She said she don't love Guy Ritchie anymore.  Madonna and Guy had been married 7 years. 

Boil Water Issues In My Hometown. An Appt with Melody.

Last Monday, I can't believe no one in my hometown informs me as if I am being deaf who can't answering the phone that the boil water has been issued that afternoon.  I heard the lightning struck a water plant in Ormond Beach on 5 o'clock TV news.  Mom confused me by what's going on in my hometown when she videophoned me thru an interpreter.  I don't want to hear about the boil water issues. I called Mom twice about it. The last one was that my parents think it's not in our area.  My parents asked me if I have to check the water if it is pressuring.  I replied yes.  It means no dirty and looking clear.  Mom said I don't have to worry about it. LOL!  I told her I am not.  I feel healthy since then.  I heard on the TV news that so many residents in our area wanted to pick up a package of free bottled water at an art performance center.  The boil water issuses had been lifted yesterday.  About deaf community, most deaf people are very confused by what's going on in their hometown when there is an emergency if they have no idea.  911 calls make to only hearing residents when there's a warning issue.  I e-mailed my deaf friend in New Smyrna Beach about what happened in my hometown that Monday night.  Anyways, I wish someone who is responsible taking care of our problematic situations so he or she informs Florida Governor Crist about our deaf community is doing it immediately, not for a year or 2.  We are waiting for a green light from our governor if someone have an idea about how to set up an emergency for all of deaf residents.

I went to see Melody last Tuesday afternoon for my appt.  Melody wanted me to pick which level of sounds is the best and then started to play a harp again for about 15 minutes.  As Melody continued to play a harp, I feel I am getting a vibe in a progress.  The vibe went through my feet, legs, and then to in both sides of my head.  Wow!  I felt my right knee is acting up like a shake.  After the harp was finished, Melody showed ASL in an alphabet order with her left hand to me.  Nice try.  Then I learned how to correct a pronounce of word.  It was a difficult.  And then Mom’s turn.

Melody's Harp Therapy

I went to a harp therapy at Melody's house in Port Orange yesterday.  It was great experience.  At her house, Melody wanted me to practice a speech first.  It was hard on me.  I was suprised to notice Melody knows a sign language.  Cool.  She was signing in an alphabet order.  Nice try.  And then she wanted me to pick 2 different sounds from her harp.  When we were done with them, Melody thinks I am about changing and improving.  That's good.  Afterwards, Melody played a harp and it sent flowing into my feet.  My feet come first and then it moved up to my neck.  I felt the flow coming in fast and a virbration.  And then to my brain.  I felt relaxing.  I enjoyed listening to a harp.  Wow!  Melody is so amazing.  And then Mom was next. 

We went home after we finished the lesson with Melody and Mom dropped off plastic bags of old clothes at Goodwill in Ormond Beach.

Yesterday late morning, I went to meet Melody, a harpist, at her house in Port Orange.  We hired Melody to play a harp at my wedding 10 years ago.  Her music was wonderful.  The reason I came over to her house with Mom is that Melody is going to do a harp therapy on us.  I was first to put my feet up onto her harp to feel vibration after my sneakers were taken off.  It's like a healing.  Melody explained some things about sounds, relax, and rememberance to me.  I was trying to understand what she said cuz there was no interperter at a present.  As Melody was playing a harp, I felt my feet vibrating like new branches of tree flowing to go up to my thighs inside.  Wow!  As a vibration of the music flowing onto my legs inside and I was listening to Melody's harp, I felt my right knee shaking and movable little bit.  My right knee is where I still have a problem with.  It's a deformed and disease.  I guess it's a healing.  I told Melody I have other problems that I hadn't told Mom yet.  Other problems are heel in my left foot hurt and the big toe in my right foot is stiff, not loosing up.  The big toe acts funny.  I felt like it's numb but I am not sure and maybe muscle spam.  I couldn't understand what's wrong with my big toe.  The other big toe in my left foot is loosing up.  It's a normal.  Anyways, I enjoyed listening to her music.  She's wonderful.  And then Mom's turn.  I noticed Mom closed her eyes and feeling the vibration.  When the therapy finished, Mom said it's wonderful.  We thanked Melody for the harp thearpy and left.  See a website about Melody's harp therapy:  Harp Therapy


Afterwards, Mom and I went to the city island library in Daytona Beach.  I've borrowed 4 DVD movies from there.  I told Mom I am hungry cuz I still don't want to be underweight, u know, since I just found out about it 2 months ago.  Mom said okay.





On the way back to my place in Ormond Beach, I ordered my late lunch at Wendy's drive-thru.  Cheeseburger, small french fries, and strawberry milkshake with whipped cream.  Yummy!  And then Mom dropped me off at my place nearby.

Tim Russert, "Meet The Press" Host on Sundays

Have u heard about Tim Russert, a host on NBC's "Meet The Press" every Sunday morning?  I do have heard about him but I never watch his Sunday morning shows cuz discussion of political issues is so boring to me.  I am not interesting into them.  I would like discussing entertainment (movies, TV shows, and books); spouses' and family's relationships.  Otherwise, Tim Russert passed away so unexpectedly last Friday.  I can't believe the death of Tim Russert when I heard about him.  I almost missed reading a part of the caption at the bottom of TV screen about Tim's death late Friday afternoon.  I said in a confusion, "What?" and then I went to check out the Yahoo News online immediately to find out.  There is in it.  Tim died 2 days before Father's Day!  I am going to miss him very much.  "Today Show" kept discussing Tim Russert all over the weekend, on Friday night, and Sat and Sun mornings.  I just learned Tim has had a heart disease.  I didn't know that until last Sat.  Could Friday the 13th be cursing him?  Maybe but I don't know.  I just figured it out.  This morning I just found out Tim did taking a stress test last April but it's nothing happening to him.  He was in a good shape and on heart medication.  Tim did an exericse but not much.  Anyways, Tim came over to discussing an uncoming election on Today Show with Matt Lauer and Meredith Vieira on sometimes early mornings.  He really LOVES talking about politics ever since he landed a job as political journalist in 1991.  Tim used to be a lawyer before that.  He was born and raised in Buffalo, New York.  I just found out Tim went to Woodstock in the summer of 1969.  Wow.  His father was furious when he found out.  Tim wrote 2 books, "Big Russ and Me" and "Wisdom of Our Fathers: Lessons and Letters from Daughters and Sons".  I haven't read those books yet.  I heard Tim's son, Luke, wanted to grab Tim's chair from the set of "Meet The Press" cuz Luke felt it's a connection to him when Luke came over there for the last time after his father died.  I guess it's like a spirit.  Who is going to replace Tim Russert on "Meet The Press"?  I don't know for sure.  We will find out soon.  Goodbye, Tim Russert.  We will never forget his legend from now on.

Wal-Mart Trips. Father's Day.

Last week I didn't do blogging cuz I was having an emotional personally and not feeling well. 
On Friday May 30th, I bought an item and more food at Wal-Mart but a weekend later, I returned the same item cuz it doesn't fitting me and got a refund from there.  Otherwise, I used that refund for purchasing a new wristband that is connecting to my watch cuz an old one is torn.  I've worn a wristband for a long time until 2 weeks ago I was surprised and it was so unexpected when I discovered my watch got tearing apart.  That's why I've decided to buy a new wristband immediately.  This is a 3rd wristband since I got a same watch as a gift many years ago.  A Wal-Mart employee replaced an old wristband by a new one for me.  The color I picked out is a tan.  I am glad I got a new one.  Then I thanked her after I paid it and put my new wristband on right away. 

Other new items I bought at Wal-Mart on June 7th.  New items are dish drainer and dish tray.  The reason I bought them is that my old ones looked awful and worn out.  I used those old dish drainer and tray for 10 years.  We got them from my mother when we moved into a different apt right after we got married.  My new ones look clean and are white.  Those were made by Rubbermaid.

Last Saturday, I went back to Wal-Mart again for buying more food and few non-food items.  My mother made me in a hurry and forgetting something cuz someone is delivering some oxygens to her place for Dad at 2 pm.  That was so unexpected.  Mom didn't informing me about it before she dropped me off at Wal-Mart.  That was not a good plan.  I had to eat my lunch at McDonald's first but I didn't understand clearly what my mother is trying to tell me.  I was confused.  I thought she's going to pick me up at 2 pm but it's not.  Turned out Mom wanted me to be ready long several minutes before an appt at her house.

On Father's Day, I didn't have time to make a card from the program in my computer for Dad.  I already had thought about putting up a new picture of me that was taken 2 months ago at Seabreeze's 100th anniversary celebration but it's too late.  Instead, I did hugging and kissing Dad when he came over to my place.  He asked me if I make a card for him but I replied I don't have time.  I did make few cards for him from the program in the past.

Today Show: Hit-and-Run Victim Ignored

This morning, as I was watching Today Show on TV NBC , I was shocked and dismayed when I learned NO onlookers in Hartford, Connecticut (CT) are helping gravely injured elderly man after he was hit by a car in the city's surveillance.  This video was taken on May 30, 2008 at 5:49 pm.  Those onlookers are SO lazy and UNTHINKABLE!  I can't believe it!  God is not pleasing at what they are doing. Onlookers are not going to get a reward from the city of Hartford if they haven't heard about The Secret, a book by Rhonda Bryne.  I understood to what happened to this video with a closed-caption on my TV expect on this video in my computer.  It's about onlookers' behavior.  I am sure these onlookers are going to be very embarrassed if they did see a video of them on a national TV news.  Here is a link of video below:

David Visits Today

This is David, my 29 yrs old brother.

David came over to my place this very early afternoon.  I did not recognizing him at the window as he was standing outside my apt and looking for me inside but at a minute, I figured out who he is.  David looks changing and handsome.  He looks alike Tony Stark who played by Robert Downey, Jr. in "Iron Man".  The reason David came in is that he wanted to use my computer cuz his own laptop broke down.  His drink spilled over it.  It was an accident.  LOL!  So, David is looking for a new one.  As he sat down on the chair, David checked his e-mails and then typed to reply an e-letter to someone and then surfed the internet.  David asked me to take pictures of him.  I did.  I promised him I would send e-mailing those digital photos to him later.  I've learned that David rides a motorcycle but no HELMET!  David doesn't want me to tell Mom about it.  For lunch, David ate my food.  He likes them very much.  They are better than my mother's.  Mother's food comes from a health food store.  David ate cream horn, an ice cream cone, and cracker sticks.  I laughed at him.  But I ate heathy ones for my lunch:  Sliced apples, yogurt, and a bottle of sparkling water cuz I had a big breakfast this morning, scrambled egg croissant and a coffee.  Anyways, David looked at my EW magazine after he exited his program in my computer.  He hugged and goodbyed me and then left.  I was glad to see him again.  I enjoyed his company.

Weekend Activities

Friday:  Wal-Mart and Library

I went to Wal-Mart that Friday morning.  I picked up few items I needed before heading to McDonald's for ordering my breakfast.  Afterwards, I continued to do shopping.  I finished doing it earlier.  Wow!  I have a good memory to know where an item is at.  It's an easy for me to remember.  I went to the book/magazine department after I finished paying items and was curious looking at new books but I am not planned buying one of them cuz I already have plenty of unread books at home.  I scanned several new books on each shelf and then the black book caught my eyes.  It locates at the bottom.  It's a pink glitter called, "Sex and the City".  Have u seen this movie yet?  I haven't seen it yet but I will.  Anyways,  I opened the black book and looked at several nice photographs in it.  Wow!  Cool!  Fancy outfits and rooms are everywhere.  This book impressed me.  It looks an expensive to me, not now, so I can borrow it from a library in the future if it's an available. I am suspicious by what's going on between Carrie and Big at the end of the black book but my lips are sealed.  Sorry.  U will have to find out about those great love couple in the movie at the movie theater or in the future DVD.  I recall the last season of "Sex and the City" on TBS years ago was that I was so glad Carrie and Big getting back together again in Paris after Carrie broke up with her Russian boyfriend, remember that last show?  Her Russian boyfriend was so stupid cuz he's mean and abusing Carrie.  I don't like him.  Anyways, it's time for me to put that book down and left the book/magazine department for going to the main enterance so I can wait for Mom to pick me up.

 

That Friday morning before I left my place for going to Wal-Mart, Mom and I were discussing "Sex and the City".  I knew Mom doesn't like this fabulous movie cuz she's very religious.  Mom and I are different each other.  She said like up means high and down means low in the religion.  I guess high will get u very saintly and down will get u doing nothing like lazy and bad habits.  I have no problems with this movie.  I enjoyed watching TV seasons of this show years ago.  I told Mom most of women her age are doing it now but she doesn't want to hear of it.

 

After I dropped off my food and other items at my apt, Mom and I went to the library.  I ate Breyer's yogurt and drank water for lunch in the car outside the library.  Mom was waiting for me to finish eating my lunch.  When I finished eating it, we went inside the library.  I had to walk with walker to DVD section from a wheelchair nearby the check-out counter and was looking at them on each shelf.  I've borrowed 3 DVD movies and 2 EW magazines.  Afterwards, Mom was doing a house hunting.  The house we saw looks nice but expensive.  Mom wrote down the phone number for making an appt so she will might check it out.  And then Mom dropped me off at my place.

 

Saturday:  Starbucks On The Beachside and New Feature in Sorenson VP

I went to get my breakfast at Starbucks on the beachside that Saturday morning.  I ordered cappuccino with hazel/vanilla and whipped cream and shortbread with chocolate.  Yummy!  Afterwards, I was looking at cute outfits and pretty jewelry on the window display next to Starbucks.  I waited for that shop to open until at 10 am.  It did.  I went in there.  I've checked how much prices all of outfits and jewelry and purses are.  To my surprise, they are expensive.  I would say like between 14 dollars and 50 dollars cuz they are so pretty.  Not enough in my personal budget.  I can wait until next time.  And then I left that nice shop and went home.

 

That Saturday afternoon, a Sorenson tech named Tim came over to my place for putting up a new feature, DirectVP, and changed to a new phone number.  I've had this same man before.  I just found out about this new feature in an e-mail from Sorenson VP last Wednesday.  I was surprised but confused.  Also, I missed receiving 2 VP calls from Sorenson about it in the 5 o'clock morning hours before I got an e-mail about new feature.  Last Thursday night, Tim, a Sorenson VP tech, imed me unexpectedly as I was about leaving the computer.  Tim informed me about the new feature.  I already figured out he's going to discuss it with me when he imed me.  We talked about when he's coming over on Saturday.   I told him I am planned going to the beach that Saturday but Tim said he would come over that afternoon.  That's fine with me.  Whew, I am relieved to hear that.  Tim did come.  About this new feature, DirectVP, either deaf or hearing caller can contact a deaf receiver thru one phone number to Sorenson.  It's an easy.  I sent an e-mail to inform some hearing and deaf callers Sorenson changed my ph. # that afternoon.

 

Sunday:  The Park At The Beach

Mom picked me up for going to the Tom Renick Park at the beach.  We stayed there for few hours.  The weather was glorious but hot.  One thing I forgot to bring along is a binocular.  Oh, shoot!  My mind was so busy with other things to do before I leave my place.  Next time I'll bring my binocular there.  Anyways, Mom went for a walk on the beach while I read a magazine.  Mom brought food from her home after she returned from walk.  A bottle of water.  I ate a cracker and cheese & turkey meat sandwich.  It's a brunch she said.  LOL!  Mom was doing a house hunting again on the beachside.  It's been several minutes.  She was looking for a house that have a swimming pool.  And finally, Mom dropped me off at my place.  I immediately ate an ice cream when I came home.
